The "sorry we got ganked" problem.

It appears that this error is getting more and more common.

It's not a problem to just spam refresh untill it works again for a few seconds. The problem is that you lose the post you've written a moment ago. This is counter-productive and should be worked on. It should be fixed with just saving what you've written and if you spam the "return to prev. page" the post should still be there to be posted...

The current situation is only preventing people who wanted to add a bigger post from actually writing anything with sense since you've got more or less a 1/3 chance that it'll get lost any way.... And clicking CTRL+A and CTRL+C before every "post" click is just plain annoying.

I always select all and copy whatever I write before I click submit. That way when the forum reply box invariably appears to have timed out on what I type all I have to do is paste it back in the reply box and resubmit and it will post then.

edit- but yeah, bbccode errors and the we got ganked screen are a big pita with these new forums

Exactly, even on the old forums you would lose "the plank bubble" and end up having to hopefully just pasting your wall of text.

I agree, new forum sucks ass.

I wrote a huge reply the other day, put some real effort and research and good points into it, and when I clicked post, they were ganked and I lost everything I wrote.

I was like **** this and went to play BF 3 instead.

My point exactly.

And I know that you can just copy the reply every time you write more than two lines, but why should we have to do that? It should just work properly :/
