Null sec ratting in Angel space

I'm currently running Angel Havens with an Ishtar duo. Are there better alternatives for Ishtars? I was thinking about a Vindicator or a Machariel but I don't want to spend 1.5 B on a ship when I don't know if it will be effective. On Ishtars I'm pulling around 15-16 M per tick per character, running only gate variation of Haven anomaly, but that requires constant attention.

Disclaimer: i like weird gimicky set ups, other people will be able to give you more cost-effective ideas. This works for me, so take with a grain of salt.

+ Mid grade crystal implants (all except the Omega) 2 cap hardwirings (in the 6 and 8 slot) and 3 gun hardwirings (tracking in slot 7, rate of fire in slot 9 and large projective turret damage in slot 10)

With my skills and the above hardwirings, this Mach is cap stable (with everything running except the smartbomb) and does 1324 paper DPS. Against 'standard' angel damage profile it tanks 693 DPS (ie good for all but the worse spawns). Tackling NPC frigs can be dealt with with warriors OR just keep the geckos out and turn on the smart bomb if they are close enough, the Geckos can tank your smartbomb for a while. I used Geckos instead of Berserkers because they are faster and hit small npc frigs better, downside is the omni damage of course.

The ECM burst is there to keep the aggro off your drones and can be of help if some come to tackle you (and they get close enough, the ECM burst has saved me 3 times so far)

Best for "pirate gate" haven (i orbit the 'harvester' near the gate at 500 meters to help my tank), but can also be used in the Cloud version haven as well, just keep moving. With this ship and my skills I was doing 30 to 35 mil every 20 minutes (90-105 mil an hour). It costs right at 1.5 bil not counting implants.

Carrier is better but a carrier can't do a 10/10 escalation. Even though I have a carrier I usually just use this, just because.
