I know the team have been investigating this recently, I'm sure they will have a fix or news soon on the matter. :)

So no fix? Okay.

Try running DirectXRedist.exe from the installation folder, normally C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE Probe\bin

It should be run automatically if needed but I'm wondering that's not happening for some reason. We've heard reports of this failing on 8.1 machines, but of course it works fine on machines in house that have 8.1 so we haven't been able to pin it down.

You forget, some of us have been in the CCP offices, and seen that you're all chained to your desks, with intravenous feeding!

Woo! CSM XI!

Sorry, that really came across wrong. I really meant that more as in, asking if anyone else had had the same problem and managed to work around or fix it. I didn't think about what I was actually saying.

I may have actually really derped on this.

Does EVE Probe have to be installed on the same drive as your EVE installation? I have my Tranquility install on my C:\ drive and EVE Probe and my Sisi install on D:\.

DirectXRedist.exe doesn't work either.

Edit: Reinstalled on C:\, still doesn't work.

OK, thanks for trying this out. We'll continue to investigate.

I've put up a new build to fix an error on startup - I'm curious to know if it fixes your issue. Try running again - it should prompt you to get the latest version.

I had already uninstalled so I couldn't test if it prompted me to update, but the new version ran perfectly, no need to run it as administrator or anything.

I'm wondering if it's possibly because my machine has both integrated and dedicated graphics?

I think it would be a good idea to keep the first post of this thread updated with a link to the latest version.

Just saying.
