I really wish CCP would give us an update on what is going on. Any further speculation at this stage are irrelevant. Would be nice to know what is going on.......

Should probably remind people that CCP bailed on this thread at page 200. It's just forum PvP now

If they would remove the renter whining posts this thread would drop instantly from 400 to 40 pages and everyone would accuse CCP of communist censorship. Big smile

Just another point of interest to me; Most people agree that the patch is 'required/not a bad idea' on some level or another. Furthermore most people want to eve plunge into chaos, which is in many ways is great, more fights more fun. But as any nullsec pilot will know, evacing ones stuff is an issue. And if true chaos does return to Eve, and sov changes hands constantly, it will become difficult to evac with current proposed jump restrictions. (dont get me wrong, I am mostly for the jump nerfsss) but evaccing already sucked before, imagine how much it will suck now.....

It's up to players to go and figure out which portion of the dev blog has been revised later on without actually jolting down the notes.

That's not a bad point. Not really sure where feedback should be aimed at the moment but when you get a chance make sure to push that point.

These changes are aimed at making it better for smaller corps and this plays right into that.

Nice to see some constructive thinking instead of rage quitting (even though the rage quitting is fun to laugh at)

It seems that these ideas could use some tweaks, but overall it is more of a culture shock than a real issue.

CCP originally envisioned no more than a few dozen Titans in the game anyway, so it could be some hindbrain attempt to help that come to pass, but in reality it looks more like a heavy-handed, bit-too-much-at-once approach.

From what I have gathered, it looks like a sincere attempt to nullify the Batphone Syndrome. A supercap blob can be generated very quickly in almost any nulsec/losec space, from Alliances that have no dog in the fight or skin in the game in any territorial dispute. While metagaming is a reality, there is no reason that game mechanics cannot be introduced to reduce the effects.

It is harsh, and will obviously get tweaked as time goes by. How many changes have Motherships/Suppercarriers had. They went from meh to the win button and then back towards the middle.

Intercepting caps at gates is a good thing. More, smaller, fights over many systems instead of the uber blob on blob with TiDi at 10%. Planning and sacrificing one wing to get two wings through another gate comes to mind off the top of my head.

No more cruise and bruise. If a fleet has to scrap its way to a fight, then the CEOs will think a little longer on whether or not the trip is worth it for space they do not touch.

The JFs should get no nerf at all.

The cooldown timers should be adjusted to get rid of insane times. Good idea with draconian penalties at this time.

Many of the complaints I have seen have valid points. Many of the others make me think of spoiled rich kids.

The game changes. Change with it or move on. Lazy cap and supcap pilots that will quit if they cannot hotdrop a blob across New Eden in an hour or less will not be missed by anyone but CCP's earning statement.

The JF nerf is bad... did I mention that? The BLOPs nerf is bad as well, but BLOPs pilots must be used to getting the un-lubed portion of the stick by now.

If small corp logistics can be made to work, the rest of the intent is fine. Lots of smaller localized fights means less individual pilots trapped in TiDi hell during a superblobfest.

You can still use the JF. It wont be easy as before nor as safe. but still completely possible.

Someone will say that it will be impossible for small groups to live in deep null. It will be extremely difficult to keep up the exact same style of play but there are always options. The most lucrative one being to move to somewhere better suited for your operations.

If you keep trying to do things the same way as you did before the patch you will be giving yourself a disadvantage.

"You can still use the JF. It wont be easy as before nor as safe. but still completely possible. "

This is true, however, the costs of a JF currently makes that type of risk unacceptable in most cases unless someone has iskies to simply throw away for S&Gs

"Someone will say that it will be impossible for small groups to live in deep null."

already been said repeatedly in this thread

"It will be extremely difficult to keep up the exact same style of play but there are always options. The most lucrative one being to move to somewhere better suited for your operations."

There is a very valid argument to be made that much of null is empty, that there should be more things to bring people to that type space as opposed to having some 70% of players living in high sec space (i forget the exact figure at this time) because it is already hard to survive out there as it is, and will be even more-so after this change is put into effect.

just saying

OK, I've read every post up to page 200, and we're getting to a point in this thread where there's not a lot of new concerns or suggestions being brought up.
