Learn to live out of a small fleet of carriers or JF's and rid yourself of needless material possessions, you can relocate in a week if that. Otherwise use wormholes, contracts to certain services, or just learn to maximize your efficency

This equals "Learn to live inside smaller containers", or "learn to live with more restrictions." No mater what side you are on, at some point we have to agree that restricting movement and assets is communistic and a failed solution. Freedom is always a better way to do things. Why on earth would we be praising changes that curtail freedom? Not sure I like a society that raises up "fairness" over freedom.

I may be american and love freedom in a sandbox, but there is always room for socialism or communism somewhere along the lines if it means saving something. Look at how we bailed out GM during the recession, or the banks. Sometimes you need something different to advent changes in the future, and thats what CCP is doing here

since we're talking about the upcoming release and how it affects JF's it would be good for you to be somewhere on topic

Im sorry but you do realize 5ly is an entire region in curse? And theres a station in practically every low sec ever. And if your setting up a logistics CHAIN then it would also be feasible to invest in a POS or two for added safety. And yes you do have the luxury of planning it because like i said there are stations everywhere and you still have a good range. Look at provi e very single system has a station. Look at NPC Nullsec, TONS of stations even if only 1 per system.

Putting up a pos in unfriendly nullsec - as the guy you're replying to was talking about - will result in it being hellbubbled in however long it takes for the sov holder to respond to the notification that an enemy has put up a pos. There is no safety in being hellbubbled into a pos in a jump freighter behind enemy lines.

oh wahhh you have to wait, think of it like driving a car and hitting traffic, at the end of the day you still got where your going and theres still a chance your going to get blindsided by a semi and die on the way. Except in this case the semi is someone elses internet spaceships and you get a second chance. So either live with it, or dont drive on the freeway and take the backroads ( gates )

There is no safety in eve either your point?
And if you deliberately jump through HOSTILE SOV without even attempting a way around or looking for an alternative, then you took your life in your hands and accepted the risk when you hit Jump to > Blahblah System

Your jumproute from J4UD-J to K-MGJ7 using a Rhea.
Jump Drive Calibration 5, Jump Fuel Conservation 5, Jump Freighters 5.

Total travel distance: 7.61ly.

you realize that with the new change this would be two jumps and two cyno's if you were using cyno alts.....

never really liked curse - it's a good place to go hunting for PVP ... sometimes.... but i wouldn't want to live there....

or

Your jumproute from Jamunda to CVY-UC using a Rhea.
Jump Drive Calibration 5, Jump Fuel Conservation 5, Jump Freighters 5.

Total travel distance: 6.60ly.

also two jumps with the new changes to distance

You are correct, there is always room to stifle freedom, It is wrong, but there is always people who want to do this. GM should have failed and grew slimmer out of the ashes, now we just have a company that has not learned from its mistakes and will continue to make the same ones that got them there in the first place….

Great model of failure and hubris

Venal and Great Wildlands do not have the abundance of stations that regions like Syndicate does. I don't think Curse has very many stations except maybe a few systems that are bunched together.

next time include the rest of the post, which showed what i was talking about you could take a wormhole, go another route, take a few gates with a scout, whatever you needed to do, but instead you seem to take the lazy way put up a POS in HOSTILE SOV and then hope you can jump through with no issues. There are ways to get around that issue if you actually do the work, which is what null needs like it needs emergency surgery. the lazy complacency has gone on too long and it needed a kick in the arse

trim the fat by getting on the treadmill, and the lazy ones move on and do something else or just complain the entire time like i said probably 8 other times in this thread.

actually curse has quite a few stations ive seen in my time in the area, some huddled, some in outlying areas, but 70% are within 5ly of the bordering area making it relatively safe to move things. GWL got screwed out of stations for sure, but if you live out their then you should have few issues setting up a tower and keeping it hidden for a little while at least. Or maybe you could be blue to the people out there and dont even have to worry about it that much since marauding groups with dreads or other bash fleets wont be able to get their as easily if at all.

And syndicate for sure has too many stations, its like someone put up a giant magnet and dragged people over there with their stations too.

right back at yah...what ever this statement means...

you should do some more research and dig for facts before posting...it might help you understand the game better....

you're really willing to fly a 7BIL ISK ship through a worm hole or a gate ? umm...yeah, that's my point...

this game mechanic doesn't match up with any part of the current game mechanics

i understand the idea that null needs to be changed

but this change isn't going to change the power blocks - it appears to only hurt the little guys who live day by day through mobility

as discussed earlier, we don't know all the changes they have in mind, but this change is all the info we have to go on and it looks bleak.... under thought and harmful for more people than i think CCP has accounted for

yes im willing to take a 7b ship through a wh or a gate, its just a videogame the ISK value carrys no weight in anything but space pixels. And 7b really isnt that bad either if you know youll be able to replace it eventually, in my case maybe 3-6 weeks, and since thats how often i actually undock my rhea then yes its well within acceptable bounds of Risk Vs. Reward

And how does it not match up with game mechanics? Its simple Risk Vs. Reward Vs. Time Invested which is what 90% of this game is measured in or about.

I never said it was going to change the power blocks, i said it was a kick in the arse for null sec

And i think CCP did account for the damage this would cause, especially since they spoke to the entire CSM about it, Who we elected by the way. And they knew it would be a rough ride to fixing it and they would lose people on the way

Seems to be a lot of negativity about making it harder to teleport everything people want from Jita out into null.

It's true I haven't spent a long time in 0.0 but I'm pretty sure while I was there I saw an asteroid. If only we could get CCP to provide some sort of device for extracting minerals from those asteroids (perhaps some kind of modified rocket launcher). If they also gave us a way to metamorphosize (yes - it is a real word) minerals into other things then someone could con an indy player out into null to build a giant bucket for all the tears.

And no. The time you spent reading this is mine now and you cant have it back.

Devs are nothing more than machines that turn coffee into code. The quality of the code is inversly proportional to the quality of the coffee.

actually its with this toon whenever im in low sec, i have an alt who does nothing more than warp it from station to gate and then to a hub and jump literally from the neighboring highsec to the cyno on station, at which point it docks and i take it over again, reason being i have much more refined jump skills and jump freighters 4 not 2 like my alt. Sometimes i even take it into .5's on this toon where i dont have to worry. Like i said its just internet space pixels
