You guys may be getting fights, but Razor has decided to deploy to low sec because ~blue donut agreement~ doesn't allow them to get enough pvp in null sec.

So, yeah, when entities decide to fight and have fun then they have fights and have fun. When "The masters of 0.0" blue each other up and make it boring for their members to play game, then subscriptions lapse, and .... This.

And in case you haven't noticed on your login screen, the numbers of players has been down, by quite a bit.

CCP is going to do what they think is in the best interest of the game overall, not for some self serving null carebear.

Get over it.

I agree 100% with you. Numbers have gone down considerably and CCP should do something to increase numbers again. But, this change is not going to yield a result they are hoping for. Numbers will go down even more with this change, if they haven't started already due to this blog post.

If stagnation of null is a problem and things need to change there to cause players to log back in, this change is not going to have that effect. This change actually enforces stagnation because it makes it so stupid cumbersome and problematic to attack an enemy who lives on the other side of the map.

When alliances and coalitions deploy, logistics are strained as is with current mechanics. Getting thousands of players supplied with doctrine ships, ammunition, modules, fuel, etc. It can sometimes take weeks for deployment system to be in somewhat good state market wise. With these ludicrous changes, supplying deployment systems will become insanely difficult. Additionally, a lot of us use our carriers to bring our subcap ships with us to deployment systems and help those who can't fly caps get there quick. With this change, we're all gonna be flying interceptors to deployment system and then twiddling our thumbs for a month as we wait for market/supplies to get there before we can put up any meaningful fight on the map.

Do you honestly believe that one alliance living in the West can attack an alliance living in the East (ignoring buffer regions) in any meaningful way with this mechanic? No null alliance will risk taking their capital force 30-40 jumps away and spending weeks traveling because it will make their home vulnerable. Instead, they will entrench themselves even more, pull all caps into home systems, and we're all gonna go about our own blue circle business because now we can't attack each other in a meaningful way even if we wanted to.

But it won't. That's the problem. Revenue should come from new subscriptions, sales of PLEX, etc. It shouldn't come from extortion. Forcing capital pilots to have 28-30 alts will not net them new revenue, because for every new cyno/capital jumper account they get, they will lose an existing player probably. If you think some of the old players won't quit over this, think again.

How many new accounts did they get after B-R battle? How many of those stayed active and are patient enough to wait to get into titan. Do you think these people started playing EVE because they think it's the best MMO out there? They want to be part of the fights like that one. Here comes CCP Nullsec Team to crush their dreams.

My Business Hat tells me that I should keep my existing customers first before I try to get new ones, and extorting more money from my existing customers is not a good customer relationship.

This so bloody much.

CCP thrive on the media attention they get after massive fights. These changes will make damn sure that you will never see a fight like B-R5RB were an estimated $300,000 in ships were lost and over 7,500 people were involved.

Fights like at 6VDT-H were 2591 ships were destroyed including 621 capsules, a fight that effectively killed one of the largest alliances in the game.

The Battle at Asakai can never happen again. A fight that started by a mistake a Titan pilot made. A fight that involved over 3000 people. A fight that cost the parties involved over 700 billion isk.

Each of these fights generate world wide news and not just on gaming websites but places like Wired, Forbes, BBC etc..

These fights is what gets people interested in Eve.

All of this gone...

Not all bad. The marketing from those articles is on the verge of being an outright bait-and-switch scheme.

Thank You CCP, best CHANGE ever in this game.

People also cried with the nano nerf/fix, but it made the game much better. The same thing will happen now, only low IQ retards are crying, just ignore the trash.

Again, thank you so much!

yea, ccp is acting in the best interest of the game by... losing more players...
i think everyone here understand that the game need changes, but using a chainsaw and cutting right or left isn't the way to do it.
as a fact, after announcing this changes ccp are losing players; some say just a few, some say quite allot, but the fact is eve is losing players, when there was no need to;
maybe some old players will resub for this new pach, but that is just a maybe, losing real cash for the "maybe" cash it's a very risky business, especially where there was no need to take that risk;
for the last 3-4 years players where asking CCP to change this terrible sov system; and CCP did nothing; they had all the time in the world to do small changes, but no, they enjoyed the big headlines and invested the money and work into another games...
now, all of a sudden the come with that chainsaw approach, and we just have to hope everything will end well... i don't think it will, but yea i hope i'm wrong Roll
the point is, a more purposeful approach to this problem would of been much much better; how the big guys at CCP can't understand this, i just don't get it; but then again i remember incarna....

These tears are just too delicious.

We should bottle this.

Even better, we can make a new Quafe. Like Crystal Pepsi.

I clearly didn't say we do have all the skills. No section of space has an inherently more skilled player base than any other, even if lowsec pilots do like to pretend the are the pinnacle of PvP skill. And again, if they are so skilled, why do they not win AT every single year? They can;t blame this on on blobbing like they blame everything else.

I know, I know!

Pick me! PIck me! Pick me!

Honestly, I dont; see that many tears. I see people stating what they think is good and abd about it, the odd rage filled post, then forums alts like yourself spewing out mountains and mountains of uneducated and clearly flawed opinions, but no tears. I guess this is just this thing again where kids like to pretend everything tears so it makes them feel better about themselves.

Don't worry you wont be allowed to be there. The ring of fire will burn you up. For all those that think this is a good change, smile till your markets dry up and the null alliances take their strength to low-sec and knock the hell out of it. I intentionally waited before opening this thread. I knew that it would extract some moisture from a few tear ducts, and I, for one, was not disappointed!!

Let's get one thing straight, I fly Carriers, JF's, and Blops. I primarily live in Null although I have been have been more active in empire the past few weeks due to "business".

I don't understand what all the fuss is about with the jump fatigue and lowering the range of jump drives. I mean I have literally been forced feed these force projection rants, which have increased exponentially the past year or so. I have read and hear time and time from the opinions of players about CCP's inability and/or unwilliness to address issues in this wonderful game, most notable being this term "force projection". Well, guess what? They are doing something about it, but as with most things that happen in this community, "Your damned if you do, and your damned if you don't".

I do believe that Blops should be relooked, as in possibly having their fatigue lowered, as to be in line with their typical role, and provide contrast among the other Jump capable ships out there, HOWEVER, if it's not and I gotta wait out a timer then that is just another obstacle that must be overcome in developing the strategy of how muh' fleet gets all assassins creed on yours and then get out before your day late and a dollar short fleet gets spun up.

So if you are one of the pilots that can't adapt to change, and since you clearly feel that these changes will make jump capable ships worthless, I will take them off of your hands and I won't charge you a penny.

I just pulled the BS flag and put it up. If you don't know what is wrong with what will happen to logistics, you are wrong. Just stick to something you know friend and keep stupid comments like that to yourself.

Indeed.

No one is forcing anyone to use alts. It's a matter of convenience that people with a lot of money consider a basic necessity rather than a nice extra.

The game would be a lot more fun if people tried relying on each other instead of alts, and if no one would abuse alts to cement their own position of power - Which is making the game more stale and boring in the first place.

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

Pssst,, if they try that they cut their nose off to spite their face. You need isk coming in. If you gouge or hold out, the isk doesn't come in.

Say hi to metacide....except for the weapons (atm), between meta, faction and ds gear fittings are well covered. So are the ships.....make golem cost 3 times more I am sure some kind fw souls will drop CNR to satisfy the need for efficient pve. Priced higher ofc...but so long as not a 3 billion isk golem it will move decent.

WH's also say hi....t3 ships. What I prefer anyway, small fast, don't have me beholden to the moon goo barons as much.

And the low sec threat...why you got this in the first place. 0.0 there already chief...and why this got attention to it. Hate to bring up old crap but.....I like others happen to think the king of low sec should have been a contest for only true low sec entities. Not PL using its extensive jump resources to flood low sec to claim it. Not anti PL (nor am I associated in anyway with snuff on any chars I have) ...its just they are a 0.0 entity first and foremost and should have be out of the running from the get go.
