With the new jump changes coming this topic needs to be relooked at.

Yes jump freighters are still a viable option for transport, but should they really be played as a loan wolf for travel... typically in real life logistics a freighter class would be accompanied by security. So nerfing the capability of the escort ships and allowing jump frieghters to have more capability than any other jump capable ship doesnt make sense. I hate the jump nerf, but if you are going to do it then do it to jump ships across the board...

That being said, transport ships should be able to have interdiction nullification capabilities. If you think null sec and sov warefare sucks now, the nerf is going to bring everything to a crawl. Caps will stay docked and the t1 roamer fleets will be out in force. Its really going to shrink null. Gate camps are going to become the new business and trade will most likely halt.

No they don't.

If you're losing blockade runners to gate camps, you're doing it wrong. I've flown blockade runners in and out of null, lowsec, and wormholes, through and around pretty much any kind of camp you can immagine. If flown properly, it's very difficult to stop a blockade runner.

This guy knows. Blockade runners used not have cov ops cloaks, and those of us flying them still managed to get past serious camps most every time. personal skill and SP are the way to go, and there's always blops. so quiet down about blockade runners, or they might "improve" them back to the way they were before.

Use the force without consent and the court wont acquit you even if you are a card carryin', robe wearin' Jedi.

to be fair, with the new cloaking graphics, it has become a great deal easier to decloak ships.

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

How so?

As I was lead to understand there is no actual change to the mechanics only to what you see client side.

You are visible for a very long time instead of just disappearing like you used to. The cloaking process also lets your ship light up like a Christmas tree which makes it easy to find your position and hunt ceptors or dictors towards you. Recently, I was followed by an Eris and got caught in its bubble after I jumped the gate with it. It then proceeded to trying to decloak me and passed by me just 1.5 km away from me (Yay server tick that I didn't get decloaked).

Blockade runners are fine.

Indeed, Blockade Runners are just fine.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.
