Ok fine....if they are willing to pay you just for the right to farm, with no involved force projection or protection, then you can carry on. But I think part of the expectation of renters is that the sov holder takes action to make the rented area safe, including hotdropping when necessary. The goons definitely made defense fleets to hunt down MOA. These changes make it a lot more painful to move around, and will at the very least force the renters to more actively protect themselves, putting downward pressure on the rental fees, and somewhat financially harming the large nullblocks.

We use fast cruiser gangs, if someone tries to take sov we deploy the main fleets. This isn't going to be hard to adapt to.

Well I've never posted on the forums as I usually just go with the flow. But this change cripple's me basically, I've made my ISK by creating POS fuel in null and not only am I going to need 2 more mid point's (2 more char's to do it quickly) but now I'll have a cooldown to get my isotopes and such out to null. I trained forever to get into my JF and get JDC 5 and JF 5 and Jump Fuel Conservation 5 and it took awhile and a lot of Black Frog contract's to make enough ISK for my own JF and now it's basically all for nothing. I mean like most people I play this video game to have FUN! To unwind from a long day of work and to relax. Well CCP seems to be making this game into more of a grind than anything, they literally want you to have to play this game all day long to be able to do anything.

I even have a character that is currently training to sit in the Archon I have sitting in my station. I've been training it for quite a long time as I've been training for a PROPER Archon with traige and everything so I can actually use it rather than it just being a suitcase... Well I might as well stop training it because what's the use? Rarely would I use it in a fight (just wanted the skills just in case) so as a suitcase what good is 5 LY? I've basically wasted MONTHS of my time for something I cannot use now.

It takes a lot to make me upset with a game, hell I admit I stuck in with WoW (yah I know, let the trolling begin) for 8 year's before I got tired of all the nerfs and the crap but I gotta say I think this is the straw that breaks the camels back for me. This game is going on a downward spiral that is making it more of a job than recreation. If this change to JF's goes in and makes it so I have to work that much harder for my ISK (as everyone knows running PI toons gets to be a pain after awhile) I will be done with this game unfortunately. Also, before the trolls start saying "Can I have your stuffs?" My alliance member's will be getting my stuff, if they are still playing after the patch. I seriously hope these change's get shot down when CCP see's how many people are against it. I love this game and don't want to quit, but I'm not the type to sit on the deck of a sinking ship until it touches the ocean floor.

Why NC and PL is crying so much.
Instead of few hundred controlled systems you will have 100 each.
If there will be to far for your capitals to hotrdrop lone cruiser - just un blue some of the people and you will have lot of fun locally , like most of the players NOW.

Thank you ccp again.

Renting is basically the same thing as being an actual member of an alliance with taxes. Except you're not obliged to show up to any strategic op.

We're offering a way for any entity to get into 0.0 and do whatever they want (except make supers). How come these areas aren't already bustling with content? We have no rules that prevent any renter from going on roams and shooting neuts or reds.

All of the highsec posters in this thread are all proclaiming that this is the change that they've been waiting for- when it comes down to it, we'll still be in the same situation that we're in today until meaningful sov changes are made.

As someone who remembers the days of freighter convoys, regional wars, 100 man battleship fights that were coordinated and maneuvered, the harsh unforgiving teeth gritting game that was Eve Online I finally, FINALLY have hope that CCP is breathing life anew into this game.

EVE had fewer players and alts back then. Lots of things have changed. you can't nerf 1 thing and recreate some rose colored glasses glory days that never really existed in the 1st place. EVERYONE forgets how people begged and begged and begged CCP for an easier way to more around EVE "because using gates sucks and takes too long and gates get camped all the time and it's not fair!!!".

In another thread I called what was proposed a "Battlestar Galactica moment", because this has happened before and will happen again lol. That I (as someone with a character in a null coalition) benefits from this (wormholes to low sec + prorator for the win) is beyond the point. Avoidable errors should be avoided unless you want them to become reverseable errors that you then have to waste time on reversing lol.

Also perma-lol and the people who still don't realize that they are the one who ends up shafted, not the null sec empires. it's like watching people celebrate when rich people get taxed thinking their government will get more money for services....until the rich guy moves his factory to China..

By extension, because my costs just went up and ships are so much more expensive now compared to pre-nerf, and because there isn't a proportionate increase in the ISK per hour generation in 0.0, the people in my alliance have to spend more time ratting or mining so that they can afford to buy ships.

I fail to see the problem with this. Stop milking renter cows and undock and actually do something to earn what you fly.

This is potentially a major issue. Nerfing immediate force projection can hopefully be done in a way that has minimal effects on smaller entities ability to deploy to a new location.
Maybe it is simply not possible, but let's hope it is.

Why are some of your members whinging and rage quitting on this thread then if it doesn't affect you. I agree, goonswarm will still be able to easily protect its empire with subcapitals, but your line soldiers all seem to be throwing toys out the pram and quitting, in which case you wont have pilots to fly said sub capitals.

Spoiler Alert : About the same. Sov, is a completely different problem to power projection. Sov flipping takes a lot of time, this changes nothing about that.

I have one word to describe this changes - EPIC. Truly EPICShocked

Finally CCP is going to do major step foward in game mechanic!
Its simple change but it's scale is like Apocrypha.
I'm feeling like we are heading back to pre Jump Freighter era, when most nullsec traffic had to go throu lowsec with much risk involved and.. well effort.
Definitely lowsec will become a place what it was once in the past, without hundred strong alliances ready to hotdrop you anywhere, anytime.

The least lowsec needs is powerblocks.
For all small - medium lowsec entities it's a Christmass time!

For nullsec it also brings a major change - most obvious is that it will be very hard to hold and control vast areas of space throu limited fleet ranges.

Great job CCP,
Hornestly, you brought back a hope to my heart that game will go in the right direction,
also you just earned my 420 Euros from subbing all may accounts for a year upfront.

Jump Freighters and Rorq's should just be exempt from this whole thing. This change will cripple the logistics side of the game in a major way. I understand a lot of people think thats good, but it is really bad. This is great for pvp but really really bad for logistics and mining. JF's and RORQ's should just be completely left untouched.

Well funded organisations can just keep more pilots per ship - and avoid the fatigue.

Pointless.
