Suggestion: Add fitted Cap Boosters as valid "charge" in contracts

Note: Currently Cap Boosters (and their navy versions) are one of the only charges that cannot be contracted without having to be removed from the fitting prior to finishing the contract, while thelike of ammo and scrips stay fitted just fine across contracts.

  • Suggestion: Show the EWAR effects of a hostile (if locked) above their target icon

  • Keywords: EWAR Indicators, Locked Target Icons, Effects Bar

  • Notes: This is more of an iteration to the effects bar, which does its job, but could be done better. This would serve as a way to better understand exactly what target is giving you a whole lot of grief, and to differentiate the priorities of the targets you have locked.

  • From a missioning perspective this would be very handy. I don't think PvP pilots would benefit much, as it's fairly obvious most of the time.

  • Suggestion: when a filter is applied to a container, the 'Loot All' button takes only the filtered items

For my part, this is mainly observed while doing frequent scanning runs in null to hunt down relic and data sites.
I usually set long routes, anywhere between 30 to 60 jumps, parts of which I sometimes have to backtrack a few systems.
When I initially enter a system with multiple signatures, I start probing them out until I am able to identify its type i.e. : wormhole, relic, data etc.
I don't fully scan down (100%) the signatures I am not interested in, so I add every detected wormhole and combat site to the ignore list in order unclutter the screen and focus on the important ones.
When I come back to a previously scanned system, that ignore list has been emptied; I have to scan down the same signatures I had previously ignored unless I kept a seperate list (pen and paper or copy/paste the signatures to an ingame window).
Even the copy/paste method is inefficient as you don't get which system this signature was detected in unless you had typed it in manually; this list can become extensive and painful to search through if you had not associated every signature to a system.

As far as implementation is concerned, I don't see this being a real issue for the server as this can be stored locally in the client and reset through user action or client restart after downtime. Also, stored signatures that despawned could be cleared automatically upon entering a system as a result of performing a quick compare between stored ignored signatures and the scanner detected ones.

ecm drones .. its very difficult too tell if they work or not since there is no jam icon that the normal ecm mods have..

T3's need to be versatile so no rigs are necessary ... they should not have OP dps and tank

ABC's should be T2, remove drone assist, separate HAM's and Torps range, -3 HS for droneboats

Suggestion: Forwarding mails should not cut off parts of mail message

Note: Currently the mail system seems to cut off the last parts of a mail if the mail is longer than 70 lines (in my small scale testing). It could be based on characters rather than lines, but I'm not entirely sure though. It's very annoying however to have to manually paste in the text whenever you forward the mail, ESPECIALLY if the cut off text contains links to items as there's currently no easy way to copy + paste item links.

Suggestion: Add a 'copy amount' option on the right click menu of the input material requirements in the industry window to allow quick pasting of the numbers into buy orders and stack splitting.

There's a group "Datacores", which has, well, datacores. However, you can't filter for this group. If you try to filter by groups, there's nothing in the drop-down list between "Commodities" and "Decryptors". It would be nice if we could filter by that, and it's a surprising oversight.

When setting destination and waypoints, gates that lead to your destination turns yellow on overview but the problem is that gates to all different waypoints turn yellow!

This means you can end up with multiple yellow gates and having no idea which one is actually towards your next waypoint and therefore turns them absolutely useless.

Suggestion: Add labels to hover on contacts

Note: in addition to the online icon of contacts in local add a popup that shows the labels assigned to that character when you hover over them in the local chat window.

I.E. in local you see xxx who you have set as a contact assigned to the market trader label. When you hover over their name in local it should show the label name assigned to them.

Suggestion: "Drones engage and keep at range" attack option to go along with "Drones engage and orbit"

Notes: Drones can break their own tracking much like turret boats, this just gives you more precise control over your drones. Built in trade off just as with piloting, as they can apply their damage better, damage can be better applied to them.

Suggestion: Modifier key/rightclick menu option to open URLs in external (desktop) web browser.

Links to http://secure.eveonline.com/ already forcibly do so.
The number of web sites that the IGB has trouble with continues to increase (e.g. google docs newer spreadsheets crash the IGB example, imgur album images are not visible).
Adding this as an optional way to open links makes sure that those playing fullscreen on windows don't find their client minimized to the task bar.
Default modifier might be CTRL key. Removing the modifier could make opening URLs in the desktop browser the default behaviour.

Suggestion: Change 'cancel warp' so it doesn't set speed to 0.

Note: Currently canceling warp before it initiates also sets your speed to 0. Basically, the first "CTRL-SPACE" should stop warp but keep you aligning for the target, and further use of "CTRL-SPACE" sets speed to 0 as normal.

Suggestion:
Have an option to set a character state to "Character does not need to train skills" and show that state in the character selection screen.

Notes:
I plan on training another char than the primary char on one of my accounts and thus want to have the primary char not training anything. However, I won't use the secondary char on that account a lot and still play more with the primary char. Now, every time I enter the game with the primary char, which is not training, I get a notification as well as the flashing Character Sheet, which I need to click to open in order to get rid of the flashing.

Instead I would like to tick a check box in the options to say that this char is not supposed to train at all and that I am aware of that fact and don't need to be reminded of that state beyond the Char selection screen.

I do not desire to use MCT to prevent that behavior, as I do not have the need to train 2 Chars on 1 account.

Staying oriented in the scanning environment is much harder than doing similar tasks in CAD software like AutoCAD Inventor and SolidWorks. I've been trying to internalize why and realized it's because the environment in EVE is missing a couple tools that are common in CAD.

1. A one-click way to rotate 90 degrees around the x, y or z axes. This could also be done with a modifier key that snaps to 90 degree increments when rotating.

You do this all the time with scanning after you adjust the location of your blob of 8 probes.

2. A snap tool to level the horizon for the direction you're facing.

In scanning I find my workflow is to (a) set the size of the blob (b) set it's location from above (c) set it's location from the front (d) set it's location from one side. I do this over and over yet whether I am level, and whether I drag exactly 90 degrees each time I do it is not always clear eyeballing the drag-arrow controls.

Undo in scan probe environment both for dragging probes, changing orientation, and changing camera.

Many times I'll accidentally zoom too much or little, or grab and drag the blob of scan probes when I intended to rotate. You can never easily get back to the x, y, z coordinates you were just at.

I"d like to right-click and choose undo or press control-z.

Suggestion : Provide a way to display how much dps and what kind of damage you're receiving...

Keyword : UI, dps, resists

Notes : This could give you info to change your fitting to be more effective in what resists you choose to boost if you're inadequately tanked, and if over-tanked you could reallocate slots to other kinds of modules.
