Khanid ships new old role

Khanid ships have bonuces to armor, missles and capasitor.
They tend to have more medium slots than common ammar ships
They have good tank & electronic capabilities
But near noubody use Sacrilege or Damnation (and I use vengeance)

IMO thay have extremly low dps for their classes.

Sacrilege have 8 1/3 effective launchers.

Cerberus have 10 (8 if not kinetic) and better range
Caracal have 6 2/3.
And both are faster.

Damna have only 7.5 effective launchers.

I understand that simple dps boost is not a good idea. This will be imbalanced.
So dps boost must be coupled with nerf.

IMO bonuces only to HAM (rockets) will work. Khanids will have role of tanky close range missle damagers.
Boost in damage
Nerf in range

For Sacrilege 10 effective launchers will be optimal.
For Damnation too. Maybe 8-9 will be enouph.
Vengeance probably don't need change. Maybe 2-3 drones. Maybe boost Rocket dps to Hawk level (8 effective)

nope to most the ideas.

you want a sac to match a cerb for missile damage despite having drones on top and selectable damage types and a MUCH MUCH better tank?

**** no!! a range nerf is not going to balance that.

same again with the vengeance. matching hawk kinetic damage with ALL damage types AND getting drone dps on top? wtf?

its appropriate that khanid get lower dps seeing as they get to choose their damage types and have the toughest tanks in the freaking game. They just arent DPS orientated. Go caldari for more dps orientated missile boats, or go minmatar for dps orientated missile/drone boats.

and people do use sacs. Maybe just not the way your trying to use yours.

I dunno man, my corp has a damnation docterine that is nutballs insane...


I think its mainly that people tend to look at ships and just go " well that was fun but it isnt *flavor of the month* so screw it lets build more slowcats (or whatever) instead"

Incorrect.

The Sacrilege is a beefy ship that is second only to the Ishtar in terms of brawling. And it's not the DPS that makes it shine... it is its sheer toughness. The damn thing can tank a metric fuckton of damage even without logi.

The Damnation is a command ship. Except for the Astarte and Eos, none of the ships in the class deal remarkable damage. They are meant to tank and support a fleet. However, given that warfare links can be gained from anywhere in a system why put it in danger in the first place.
The moment warfare links are made to be "on-grid only" is the day you will see LOTS of Damnations on the field.
Plus it has one of the most beefy subcapital buffer tanks around.

And both the Sac and Damnnation can choose their damage type... unlike the Cerb or Caracal. Plus they can tank FAR more than either.

THAT is their advantage.

That is why the Cerberus and Caracal have more effective launchers you know... they are stuck using Kinetic damage for maximum dps.
