[Suggestion] Remove 'Warp Acceleration'

So we all know how ships have to build up to maximum warp speed, right? Why is that? Most ships only reach top warp speed for a short time in transit, and when they warp away or land, it looks more than a little underwhelming.

I think the visual effect for warping off was a great addition; but if the ships take so long to warp off (Battleships, I'm looking at you), it diminishes the impact.

So why not just remove the acceleration mechanic altogether? Why not just have ships, once they initiate warp, immediately jump to top warp speed? Not only would it be a useful fix to the cripplingly slow speed of larger ships, it would allow us to have amazing looking scenes like this happen in-game.

It's just a suggestion, so tear it apart all you like- I think it'd be a welcome addition.

Not long ago it was very much alike that...

I think the current system works excellent as it is.
