A funny joke goes here. I got nothing.

Wednesday, 25th of June

02:00 - Logistics 101
For all of you so-inclined space medics out there! Mend broken armor plates like it's nothing, or restore your comrades' broken shields. Everyone loves their logibros - and we especially love Alan Logrus, because he's teaching this class.

Sunday, 29th of June

02:00 & ~20:30 - Q&A: Game Mechanics
This weekly Q&A session by University professor Seamus Donohue, also known as The Walking Encyclopedia, is intended to answer any and all questions you may have about various obscure game mechanics. Note that the latter session will begin approximately 5 minutes after Ask the Management ends.

19:00 - Q&A: Ask the Management
Come one, come all, bring questions or demand answers, and Management will do their best to answer. Want to know Neville's favourite pony? (It's Twilight.) Frood's favourite activity? (PI, except not really but the joke was too obvious ok?) Anyways, this is happening. Come join us.

As always, all classes can be found on the EVE University calendar and our forums. If you wish to receive these overviews straight to your EVE inbox, you can subscribe to the Classes.E-UNI mailing list using the "Add Mailing List" button in the bottom left corner of the EVE Mail window.

Something something classes.

Monday, 30th of June

20:00 - First Steps: Tech-2 Production
Producing powerful Tech 2 ships and modules is quite a complicated process - but fret not. EVE University's own Director of Logistics Turhan Bey is on hand to walk you through it all in this detailed lecture.

Thursday, 3rd of Juny

20:00 - Making a Difference in EVE Uni
The Uni is a place for learning, but many of our resources wouldn't exist without the help of volunteers - such as, potentially, yourself. If you're interested in finding out how you, too, can contribute to the University's day-to-day operations, this lecture by certified Queue Slayer Laura Karpinski is a great place to be.

22:00 - UniWiki 101
As a follow-up to the class above, we introduce you to one specific way you can help contribute without dedicating to a staff position - by helping keep our wiki up to date. Lelira Cirim tells you how.

Saturday, 5th of Juny

17:00 - Incursions 101
Shoot Sansha's space zombies and be handsomely rewarded by CONCORD for your services. Featuring some of the highest-level PvE you will find in EVE, this class by veteran Incursion runner helioswipe moondraft tells you how you get involved.

Sunday, 6th of Juny

02:00 & 19:00 - Q&A: Game Mechanics
This weekly Q&A session by University professor Seamus Donohue, also known as The Walking Encyclopediaâ„¢, is intended to answer any and all questions you may have about various obscure game mechanics.

04:00 - Fitting 101
No ship would be complete without being fitted with modules (except shuttles - but I'm trying to make a point here, so bear with me). However, selecting the right modules for the job will greatly improve your performance - but can be quite difficult. To find out how you, too, can learn to fit your ships correctly, make sure you do not miss this class by Cerulean Ice.

12:00 - Mining 101
The poor space rocks can just not catch a break this week, can they. Chaos Utama wants you show you how to shoot at them some more. Grab your barges, gentlemen.

No classes announced for this week yet. I shall commence the whipping right away.

Sunday, 13th of July

15:00 && 22:00 - CSM9 Q&A: Sugar Kyle
All our mumble are belong to her - a month after the first one, Sugar Kyle, member of the ninth Council of Stellar Management and a very charming (also: awesome) person, will be standing by to answer all of your questions, concerns and wishes.

Whipping successful. We have classes!

Monday, 21st of July

00:00 - Crius: Industry changes 101
It's update time! New Eden's industrial systems and interfaces are undergoing a major overhaul in the Crius release that's scheduled to hit the Tranquility cluster in the upcoming week. To get you all set, Tinman Spectacular gives you a rundown of All The Things that will be changing.

23:00 - Armor Tanking 101
It's the Heavy Metal class, with the usual highlights! Oversized buffer modules! Reps that land at the end of the cycle! Fatal in (and to) wormholes! I probably forgot something! Free exclamation marks! With Sjaandi HyShan!

Tuesday, 22nd of July

18:00 - Incursions 101
Shoot red crosses in a most efficient manner using high-end ships to be rewarded in an extremely handsome manner. Superlatives abound here - with veteran Incursion pilot Yuki Tsuruomo.

Wednesday, 23rd of July

06:00 - Incursions 101
Slaughtering red crosses, edition the second. Niarja is primary. With Yuki Tsuruomo. Again.

Thursday, 24th of July

17:00 - Amarr Ships 101
Take our your whip and other slavery-related accessoires, it's time for everyone's favourite supremacist race of oppressive gentlebeings! Amarr ships typically excel in Heavy Metal (so the Armor Tanking class earlier this week would be an excellent match!) and Lazorz, but some of them also specialize in Drones or Missilery. For more detailed information, helioswipe moondraft can help.

Friday, 25th of July

00:00 - Incursions 101
I'm out of ideas for these, so I'm just not gonna try at this point. Red crosses. ISK showers. Blingy ships. Space zombies. Fonsai teaching. Yeah.

Sunday, 27th of July

02:00 - Q&A: Game Mechanics
This weekly Q&A session by University professor Seamus Donohue, also known as The Walking Encyclopedia, is intended to answer any and all questions you may have about various obscure game mechanics.

We have been working hard at EVE University in the past few weeks, getting our wiki pages on industry ready for Crius. All the pages in the Industry Portal should now be fully updated and accurate, and you can find them here --> http://eveuni.org/industry.

Please note these are guides primarily aimed at newcomers to industry; if you're planning on starting a profit-making research or manufacturing operation, this is an excellent place to start!

After my three-week vacation, where a certain Director of Education (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) forgot to post overviews here, I will now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

Monday, 25th of August

20:00 - Applying to EVE University
Confused about how the application process works? Considering an application and looking for more information? This Lecture and Q&A by certified Queue Slayer Laura Karpinski can help!

Tuesday, 26th of August

01:00 & 14:00 - Introduction to EVE University
Recently joined the University and still confused about what's going on? Interested in joining and want to find out what we can offer? Krevlorn Severasse gives an overview of the Uni's various programs, services and campuses, and what they can do for you.

Wednesday, 27th of August

01:00 - Intro to Project Solitude
The Solitude project is a community of Unistas that has made its home in a secluded high-sec pocket in Gallente space. With vast swathes of low- and null-security space between you and the rest of high-sec, you need all your wits to thrive - but the rewards can be high, and the markets pristine. If that elevator pitch sounds good to you, this lecture by Lelira Cirim will be of great interest.

02:30 - Finding Your Market: Exploration Blueprints
Every explorer knows them: blueprint copies. They flood your cargo hold as if it were a trash bin, and most of them appear worthless at first glance - but that first glance may be misleading. Lelira Cirim explains.

Thursday, 28th of August

00:00 - Armor Tanking 101
It's tanking day! Despite being weighed down by 2,750 tons of solid Rolled Tungsten, Johannes Ulrich has beaten his Shield counterpart to the punch, and brings you this lecture about repairs landing at the end of the cycle, oversized buffer modules, passive omni resistors and much, much more.

20:00 - Shield Tanking 101
Tanking day, part the second. To compensate for his innate speed advantage, lecturer Joseph Dreadloch has graciously let his Armor counterpart take an early lead, relegating his lecture about repairs that land at the start of the cycle, oversized local repairers, active omni resistors and more to a later time slot.

Friday, 29th of August

02:00 - Corporation Mechanics 101
Corporation mechanics, roles, titles and permissions are a fickle beast - take my word for that one. For those of you foolish or desperate enough to venture into this forlorn corner of the UI, Lelira Cirim has some words of guidance.

Sunday, 31st of August

00:00 - DScan 101
Properly used, your ship's Directional Scanner will let you monitor your surroundings, notice incoming threats before they can get a hold of you, and locate unsuspecting targets without them being aware of your presence. All in all, it is an invaluable part of ever PVP pilot's toolkit - and thus, in a repeat performance, Rectar en Meunk will once again be giving a lecture on its use. Watch out for the cloaky Proteus!

02:00 & 19:00 - Q&A: Game Mechanics
This weekly Q&A session by University professor Seamus Donohue, also known as The Walking Encyclopedia, is intended to answer any and all questions you may have about various obscure game mechanics.

Another regularly scheduled edition of the class overview - now with fancy linkage for times and lecturer names!

Monday, 1st of September

22:00 - Advanced Scouting
As a scout, you are the eyes and ears of your FC. Without you, the fleet blindly tumbles into disaster as it is outmaneuvered at every turn by foes it cannot even see until it is too late. With you, targets can be swiftly found, locked down and eliminated, or a strategically superior position can be assumed based on knowledge of your targets' composition. If you want to learn how you, too, can become the scout of every FC's dreams, look no further than this class by guest lecturer Aflixion Starr!

Tuesday, 2nd of September

01:00 & 14:00 - Making a Difference in the UNI
Once they've spent some time in the Uni as students, many pilots feel the urge to give back to the community themselves by facilitating the education of the next generation of new players. If you find yourself in this position, Krevlorn Severasse will take the time to present you with a number of options throughout this lecture.

Sunday, 7th of September

02:00 & 19:00 - Q&A: Game Mechanics
This weekly Q&A session by University professor Seamus Donohue, also known as The Walking Encyclopediaâ„¢, is intended to answer any and all questions you may have about various obscure game mechanics.

Another week, another edition of the class overview! It's even too long to fit in a single post this time - so have a set of two instead!

Monday, 8th of September

19:00 - Incursions 101
These red crosses have a mission - and they won't stop short of complete universal domination. To find out how to thwart the plans of their evil master, Sansha Kuvakei, and make a pretty penny along the way, attend this class by veteran UNI incursion FC Yuki Tsuruomo.

Tuesday, 9th of September

01:00 & 14:00 - Uniwiki 101
The EVE University wiki is the most comprehensive player-made resource for all things EVE in existance. To learn how you, too, can contribute to this project and help spread knowledge throughout New Eden, check out this class by Krevlorn Severasse!

19:00 - Teaching 101
Have you spent a long time absorbing knowledge and would like to pass on what you've learned to the next generation of adorable newbros? Not quite sure where to start? Assistant Teaching Manager Spanky Ikkala will disperse your fears and lead you to the light!

20:30 - Fleet Boosting 101
Fleet boosts serve to augment the performance of every single ship in a well-structured fleet at once, and thus serve as an enormously powerful force multiplier. To find out how you, too, can fulfill this incredibly important role in a fleet, you should check out this class by a Totally Not Significant person called Titus Tallang.

Wednesday, 10th of September

19:00 - Teaching 101
Teaching 101, lesson one. Practice makes perfect. Apparently, Spanky Ikkala has been taking a page out of the syllabus - and offers a repeat performance of Tuesday's class for those of you interested in becoming part of the Uni teaching team.

Thursday, 11th of September

23:00 - Tackle 101 & Tackle 102
Becoming a good tackler for your fleet involves a lot more than simply locking a thing and activating a Warp Disruptor module - it involves an understanding of how to properly close in on a target, which targets to tackle, and when it may be best to hang back and catch them on the other side of the gate instead. All that and much more - in this lecture by Evilsqirrel Kashuken!

Saturday, 13th of September

19:00 - Drones 101
Drones are little machines that can fight on their own, separate from your ship - they will stick to a target even if you yourself can't get to them but they can also be separated and destroyed if you are not careful with their use. To find out more about how the use of drones can elevate your ships' performance to the next level, check out this introductory lecture by Cerulean Ice.

22:00 - Drones 102
Stay a while - and listen. As a follow-up to the previous introductory lecture, Cerulean Ice continues by taking a look at advanced drones whose applications stretch far beyond merely dealing damage to a certain target. To find out more, do not miss this class!

Sunday, 14th of September

02:00 & 19:00 - Q&A: Game Mechanics
This weekly Q&A session by University professor Seamus Donohue, also known as The Walking Encyclopedia, is intended to answer any and all questions you may have about various obscure game mechanics.

Everything is Awesome.

Monday, 15th of September

18:00 - Logistics 101
Logistics ships provide invaluable aid to their fleetmates by repairing damaged shields and armor, saving them from the brink of destruction and negating damage done by the other side. To find out more about how you, too, can fill this powerful role, attend this class by Helioswipe Moondraft, who, to my knowledge, still doesn't have JDC4 on his dread (but is still awesome at logi and all that).

Tuesday, 16th of September

01:00 & 14:00 - Jump Clones 101
Jump Clones are very handy tools that allow safe storage of expensive implants and swift travel between remote locations. To find out how you can make them do work for you, these lectures by Krevlorn Severasse are a great starting point.

Friday, 19th of September

16:00 - Planetary Interaction 101
The elevator pitch: Planetary Interaction allows you to let the game produce very valuable resources for you while you aren't even playing. Oh, and it's taught by our dear Director Emeritus and Professor Neville Smit, so you definitely don't want to miss it.

Sunday, 21st of September

02:00 & 19:00 - Q&A: Game Mechanics
This weekly Q&A session by University professor Seamus Donohue, also known as The Walking Encyclopedia, is intended to answer any and all questions you may have about various obscure game mechanics.

*** Especially for new and rookie players ***

Saturday, November 29th

This is a short notice class and will be occurring in about 3 and a half hours from the time of this post.

03:00 - Overview 101
The EVE Online Overview, a very complex tool that every capsuleer pilot needs to understand. We'll cover how the Overview works and how to set up and customize your Overview, along with other features like saving and sharing your favourite Overview profiles.

To attend you'll want to have downloaded and installed Mumble so that you can participate on our Public Mumble server. You will also need to be in game and accessing our chat channel "Lecture.E-UNI".

Please be prepared to undock as portions of the class will have you participating and interacting with the Overview.

If you have any questions about this class you're welcome to contact me in-game through our public help channel "E-UNI" or if you have registered for our forums you can make a post there.

I plan to hold this class on a regular basis so if you can't make this one there will be another.

So Eve University still hosts public classes, in fact the majority of classes we offer are open to the public. Time to dust off this thread and resume posting weekly updates about upcoming classes for those interested in attending.

I'll be bringing you announcements each week about the classes that will be offered, so keep your eye on this thread if you're interested in staying up to date with the classes available.

Note that because I'm terrible at deadlines the first class listed below (Seamus Donohue's Q&A session) is currently going on as I post this, so by the time you read this post it may be over. Sorry!

Monday, 02 November
04:00 - [Q&A] Game Mechanics
The first of Professor Seamus Donohue's twice-weekly Q&A sessions. Drop in to ask your EVE-related questions and get some answers.

Sunday, 08 November
18:00 - Incursions 101

That said you can be a paid part of the team in a FRIGATE! Eve University has an active Incursion community that is always looking for more people to join. While the Eve University Incursion Community itself is for current University members, alumni, and their alts, this class is open to the public.

20:00 - [Q&A] Game Mechanics
The second of Professor Seamus Donohue's twice-weekly Q&A sessions. Come drop in and ask your EVE-related questions and learn something new.

Remember the these public classes are held on the Eve University Public Mumble Server so you'll need Mumble installed and set up in order to attend.

Monday, 23 November
02:00 - Fitting Math
This class, led by Zanthra Shard, will cover the math that goes into ship fitting including how various ship stats are calculated using your skills, implants, modules, etc. The material covered should help you better be able to predict what various combinations of modules will do for your ship even before you examine the effects in a fitting tool like EFT/Pyfa.

Wednesday, 25 November

20:00 - UniWiki 101
Eve University's wiki is a widely-used resource for players both new and old and, like most wiki projects, we rely on a community of editors to make sure the contents of the wiki remain up-to-date and helpful. This class, led by Laura Karpinski, will cover making changes to the wiki and ways to find pages that need work.

Sunday, 29 November
20:00 - [Q&A] Game Mechanics
Professor Seamus Donohue hosts one of his twice-weekly Q&A sessions where you are free to bring any and all EVE game mechanics questions and get some answers.

21:00 - Introduction to Solitude
This lecture will introduce students to the E-UNI Project Solitude: where, why, and what is Solitude and some of the main goals and activities undertaken there. Led by Anborn Nai'lo.

23:00 - Incursions 101
This is an introduction to running Incursions, a challenging type of PvE content that requires fleets, particular fits, coordination and a sense of humor. That said you can be a paid part of the team in a FRIGATE! Eve University has an active Incursion community that is always looking for more people to join. Taught by Gol-goroth.

As always, all classes can be found on the EVE University calendar and our forums. If you wish to receive these overviews straight to your EVE inbox, you can subscribe to the Classes.E-UNI mailing list using the "Add Mailing List" button in the bottom left corner of the EVE Mail window.
