Substitute Module Selection Window for Fitting Alternatives

This is a problem I and a couple of my alliance fellows have encountered recently with an alarming regularity:

Due to some tight fitting requirements, some fittings require the use of faction modules instead of T2. Since fittings still need to be economical, it is necessary to use the cheapest possible variation on the market. This leads to the fitting being "corrupt"; ie. there is 1 variation of the module in the fitting but due to price alterations you had to buy another variation.

The inconvenience starts already in the market when you have to compare 3 different prices to find the cheapest, but it is most apparent when you start fitting the ship with the [Fit] button in the Fitting explorer. Not only do you receive a warning message that some things couldn't be found or fitted, you also then have to manually drag the substitute module into the fitting window. Instead of that cumbersome approach, I would like to see a selection screen where the fitting window gives me the available alternatives of a particular module to chose from.

We already have this solution available for the Sub system fitting of Tech 3 ships, where, when you assemble the ship, the fitting screen lists all the available subsystems in the hangar for you to chose the ones you need. I would like to see this expanded into the fitting of substitute modules of the same type in order to get rid of unnecessary warning messages and clicks and avoid wasted time for mass-fitters for the alliances.

Instead of this, I would like to see this.

+1 although I think it's a minor inconvenience compared to a lot of other things.

Auto "buy fit from market" would be good too (any problems with this can be fixed via UI and customization options/thresholds). And also allow non-charges in cargo to be saved to the fit, as well as loaded cap boosters etc.

If the fits need faction, load the fits with the faction gear required and standardize it. This is asking for dev time because your fitters/theorycrafters/etc. are too lazy to provide the fits as actually needed, or because you allow people with skills below necessary to fly a doctrine right to fly it.
Now, I would love the "Buy fit from market" button, but such has been proposed in its own thread.

If you had read the opening post carefully, you would have noticed the part where it says "tight fitting requirements". This has nothing to do with lack of skills, as, at least in my alliance, only people with very high skill points create fittings for the alliance. There is only so much you can do to increase PG and CPU and only so much you can do to decrease modules' requirements for PG and CPU and if this range of possibilities is exhausted, there is no way around colorful gear. If our alliance members need to replace other parts in the doctrine than those that are already faction, is up to them; however, even in this case this feature would help. The main purpose is, however, to ease the work of alliance logistics people, who already have enough work to do with procuring all the modules and fit the ships, and whose work is already tedious enough with the market trolls and manipulations, which they need to evade and try to compensate.
If you had read on in the same careful manner, you would also have noticed the part "there is 1 variation of the module in the fitting", which means that the fittings are standardized, but you can't ask people to pay 20M or 30M more or even more just to keep the fitting to the standard. This might be acceptable for people who swim in money and have a cornucopia of ISK at their doorsteps, but not everyone has this luxury for one reason or another. This part also touches the possibility of a faction module not being available in the market at all due to too high demand and insufficient supply, which means that you also have to use substitute modules.
None of these cases have anything to do with lack of skills, but all of them have to do with usual and unusual market activity as well as balancing of ships and modules in the game. None of which can be circumvented beyond a certain necessary to achieve point.
