Did you happen to look in the rules posted during the celebration about how to get the 1.8Q achievement? The celebration achievements have always been awarded under the same rules. The Bonk does not accept tossed tickets, but 500k ISK per bonk ticket. The method of delivery does not involve tossing.

Did you happen to download the lists of ticket holders for the bonk and each of the mini-bonks that are still available at the bottom of the "this week's winners page. Is your slow computer still making you impatient as it did before?

I notice you usually ask questions here when you could spend a couple of minutes to find the answer yourself. Does someone brush your teeth for you?

Have you ever heard of Hello Kitty?

I really don't care what the answers are for any of these questions. I offer them to you for your own introspection.

Are you like this or are you always grumpy ?
you could either write a simple answer or don't bother writing it.
and by my term of 'tossing' is to throw a small amount of isk i have into the bonk, which i have no hope of winning. I did that on the last celebration and got the achievement. Thats why I was asking how ppl get the celebration achievement.

Jack...

Sorry you mistook my attempt to be helpful with being grumpy. I suppose it might be related to the eyebrows as everyone who knows me has said that is sooo not my face or representative of my disposition. I am pleased that so many of my friends regard me as a friend and mentor. Perhaps my reply did not address your immediate pressing want as it was intended to be a friendly gesture towards solving your future needs. Please note I am not using need and want interchangeably.

Words are very important, such as tickets and ISK. They are not interchangeable. You stated you threw (tossed) tickets at the bonk and mini-bonks and I was hoping you did not mean what you stated and that in fact, you had thrown appropriate amounts of ISK at the bonk to buy one or more tickets.

In the past you have lacked specificity which when clarified gave a whole new meaning to your original statement. As an example, when stated you could not find your name on a bonk (or maybe)a mini-bonk list in the past and made a statement which engendered a thought of something underhanded having taken place. I will admit that your previous comments about the "same people always winning" and other typical laments of those who have not yet realized the huge effort and expense others are willing use to enhance their chance of winning by holding a large percentage of the tickets did influence me to see you as one who was ready to think some unknown or unseen power was at play to determine winners besides the randomness of the winning numbers from Random.org, Chribba's dice and Somer's reputation for honesty in using the numbers which were supplied. When pressed, you stated that your something (ISP, phone, tablet, modem or something of yours) was too slow and you just had not been able to download the lists as yet.

Had you been specific in saying you had not been able to download the lists, I would most likely have searched them for you, as I had them all right here. I did not assist you because of the previous attitude you had displayed.

In this instance, your question of how the achievement for a celebration is earned is typically not an answer anyone who had been through a celebration before would seek, and an answer could have been obtained much faster in Somer Chat rather than here on the forums where you typically ask Chat kind of questions.

I under-estimated you by thinking that after I told you the location of the ticket lists posted before the draw for the 1.8Q that you might respond with a forehead slapping answer in the nature of, "CRAP! I thought I entered the Bonk with tickets!" or, DAMN, I must have missed tllhe second mini-bonk even though I was focusing on entering every one during a celebration week." For my own curiosity, I did do a search of each list.

I have missed more than a couple of achievements during celebrations even after I started to set a time each day based on the hours left in the mini-bonk I just threw tickets on so that I would not miss the next one, but I still managed to miss some. I even looked back at the log of logins I keep and found that I had not logged in during the period the mini-bonk I missed was in play. We all make mistakes. I've always tried to learn from mine rather than waste time trying to convince others I had not made a mistake - which would be another mistake to learn from.

I do wish you good luck and I will work on that grumpiness thing - AS SOON AS YOU GET OFF MY LAWN!!!

Heh
I dont really care about the achievements, I was just curious. I would have asked on blink chat but I was banned a long time ago for something I didnot do and I never went back to clarify the matter since I was busy with rl and alliance stuff. Right now I cant touch EVE since im outside of the country and the internet is crappy here and cant play EVE at all (1gb patch D:)
I wish you good luck on your grumpiness issue.

I don't seem to have got it - did wonder at the time but I wasn't 100% sure I'd played every single mini-bonk though I thought I had.

I dont understand the Plex credit system. When I buy plex from blink, the credits given are treated seperately from the plex I buy or am I selling the plex I buy to blink ?

or maybe i am confusing myself

You're selling them your plex. But they're buying it for ~50m than normal plex prices. So if you want to use it - sell them your plex, buy a new plex, keep the profit.

Basically they buy PLEX from you at a higher price than you can get for it on the market - but to stop people abusing the **** out of the system they limit it so that you can only sell a limited quantity to them based on how often you buy PLEX through their referral link which is where the credit bit comes in.

Its a roundabout way of rewarding people who help support Somer via the referral link.

(Otherwise people would just buy every PLEX on the market and sell to Somer for a personal profit).

So basically you ask for us to buy more plex from your link in order to get the bonus. I have a bunch of credits and I cannot use them unless I spend more money by buying plex again, this is frustrating.. I wish to transfer my credits as blink bonus instead, like the old system... credits are re-troactive but not the bonus Sad

Buy a plex for isk in Jita. Sell it to blink. Keep the profit. Buy a new plex. Sell it to blink. Keep the profit. Repeat until you're out of credits.

Could the promos be setup so that when you actually, successfully get a ticket, there is a significant time between the ticket selection being accepted and the promo window reducing.

Problem: I'll be spamming all the tickets I can, because a lot of times, the tickets are already gone, and the browser/connection has a significant delay between responding. What will happen, is that I'll be spamming tickets in the promo hoping that at least one is not already taken, but because of latency/delay, the promo window will reduce before I get the 'you got a ticket' banner appears on the right, I'll still be spamming ticket numbers, then the promo page will dissapear, and I'll end up spamming a ticket for a mega blink that was underneath the promo. Its not an issue when I dont have the credit, but I've purchased several tickets in blinks that I never intended to purchase. Is it reasonable to expect people to click, then wait for the delay between reporting if you got the ticket or not? I mean, the promo tickets go so fast, and with 400ms delays, and the soft prompt on getting the ticket or not, its kind on frustrating, which forces people to go click click click click, oh crap, I just brought a ticket to a phoenix blink.

Solution: on successful ticket click, instead of the soft response on the top right, replace the promo section with a response of the same size saying ticket obtained, have that dissapear after 3 seconds or some amount of reasonable time.

If this is possible, or another solution is more appropriate, I'm sure more than a few people will appreciate it.
