A Competition for All Pilots of New Eden. Especially Nauplius.

Author
Bai'xao Meiyi
#1 - 2014-08-06 07:44:23 UTC  |  Edited by: Bai'xao Meiyi
After a short clip of The Reliquary of Haimaktos's corporate logo, a video of Bai'xao Meiyi fills the audio file. She sits in a huge, plump blue suede couch, wearing a black, tailored business suit and leather gloves exposing the back of her hands. She smiles warmly to the camera.

"Hello capsuleers. It's been a long time and for my little idea, now is as good a time as any. Things seem to be going quite slowly in our little galaxy and hopefully, this will help to get things going again."

Bai lifts a briefcase from off screen to rest in her lap, making it look quite a bit smaller then it would other wise be. The clasps face the camera.

"I want to see you all compete. Uh uh, don't click away. This is going to be for the greater good and I promise it will be worth it. There are no entrance fees in this little competition, All you need to do is to Kill Nauplius. That's right, the irritating little racist that bothers so many of us with the sewage leak he calls a voice."

Bai smiles

"Sending 1400 millimeters of lead through someone as vile as that is surely reward enough, but, to sweeten the deal I've made sure I've got some lovely prizes for our little future champions."

Bai opens the comparatively small suitcase in her lap, revealing a Pilots License Extension, three stacks of ISK banknotes and two glowing holograms. The hologram on the right, pans through Naval battleships and an ORE edition Mackinaw. The left hologram, cycles through Naval faction battle cruisers and pirate cruisers.

"To the winner, goes one full months pilots license and 250 million isk... To whom ever kills Nauplius first, shall go the Naval battle ship of their choice or an ORE Development Edition Mackinaw. Finally, to who ever kills Nauplius in a ship of Blood Raider Covenant or Republic Fleet design alone will win the naval battle cruiser or pirate cruiser of their choice."

Bai indicates each prize with a hand gesture toward it.

"This competition has 4 simple rules. 1. Post your intent to compete in this thread along with mailing a GalNet link to your killboard to me so that I can see verified killboard evidence of all Nauplius kills. 2. Nauplius being killed by corp mates or himself, does not count. 3. If a contestant achieves multiple winning criteria, the second and third reward will be distributed to the runners up in each case.

Bai closes the brief case quickly and loudly.

"This contest has just begun and will end on the 8th of September 23:59 and will be concluded with a party in celebration of the victors at a later to be confirmed time and date. Happy hunting, capsuleers. Remember to post your wish to compete in this thread and to mail me a link to your killboard! Keep your eyes on this thread to find daily prize offers and chances to win goodies!"

Bai salutes, winks and the video file ends.

Well, that's a much better offer than Duchess d'Hanguest's incentive, which I thought was a little paltry and silly by being restricted to those of Amarrian faith.

I'll sign up, although my active times differ from Pilot Nauplius; I've had him watchlisted for a while and that little light is always red Sad. Still, the oportunity may yet present itself.

That bit about posting a link to my Galnet killboard - I don't think I can do that. Against IGS rules or something. You can look my name up though. It's the one with lots of solo kills in a Rifter Twisted

And of course, I couldn't complete this post without the obligatory sales pitch: if anyone wants a little chemical assistance to battle the fiend Nauplius, call me for quality product at good prices and free delivery!

Sure, why not.

I'm open to shooting at someone for money, unfortunately I'll be planetside the whole time.

Good hunting to participants, however.

In a few moments you will have an experience that will seem completely real. It will be the result of your subconscious fears transformed to your conscious awareness.

When the "winner" of this contest stands at the Judgement, God will only laugh as the sefrim carry him down to Hell.

And in those precious few moments when the torments of Hell recede for a moment and the damned is able to look skyward toward the blood-splattered golden towers of Paradise, he shall see me looking down upon him, smiling because God is glorified in the destruction of the Wicked.

No Naupilus, she said that your suicides don't count as wins.

Best of luck to all participants.

You call it paltry because you do not seem to understand that in essence money is irrelevant when honoured soldiers of the Lord perform their duties. Not for wealth or pride, but out of faithfulness and commitment. I understand that you produce drugs and boosters. For the faithful, however, the promise to serve the Lord, the promotion of virtue and the prevention of vice, is bliss, blessing and booster. You should also note that money is second to the honorary title of Topoteretes of the Ducal Palasian Squadron [DPS], which cannot not be measured in kredits either.

To limit the opportunity to the faithful, and our Caldari allies, as my sister insisted upon, has a clear defined aim too. You will see what happens now, that Ms Meiyi has made the killing of Nauplius a simple manhunt, a sportive “competition”, in which elements of lowest standing can partake. It serves no moral purpose. It serves no justified aim. It is just a dull pastime for capsuleers. Like a racing competition. But we do not despise Nauplius for our own amusement, but for his deeds and to serve and please the Lord.

It is disappointing that the only way to encourage other people to actually back up their denouncements against him is these offers of monetary reward.

With that said, if all these do actually get more people out in space hunting him, then they are appreciable ventures and should be commended.

I've been hunting him for quite some time.

I have even gotten friends to help.

I asked a month ago for help and no one helped. Though two people offered.
Now he only stays online for a few moments if I am online. Now he chains slaves in his cargo.
Now he stays in high sec and blows up even more people.

I am sure killing a few more of his frigates will prove to be the nail in his coffin.

So I guess Nauplius has finally been given over to destruction by a jury of his peers. He is one of the chosen after all. Good riddens I say...

Not to belittle your efforts, Ayallah, but it is a little disingenuous to puff yourself up and look down at others for not jumping on the bandwagon when you were several months late in jumping on said bandwagon yourself.

Lieutenant Kernher and several of her fellow Praetorians were actively hunting Nauplius well before you sought to take action yourself, and to date still have several more recorded kills against him, as a quick review of combat records would show.

On another note, there's always something particularly charming about political cannibalism.

Therefore killing you is an act of glorifying God.

I am not puffing myself up just saying basically exactly what you are. That he is being hunted and it has not worked at all.

I am not P.I.E. inc so I cannot speak from their perspective, only mine.

Personally, the means of remuneration is less important to me than that the contract exist. I would have offered my personal services to undertake violence for a poem or a song, perhaps even a bottle of wine agreed upon just as much as ISK.

While it's impressive and commendable, I don't think these should be posted here....

Hey Mister Nauplius, you're going about it all wrong.

The proper retort would be to offer twice the prizes and kredits to kill the OP, Miss Meiyi.

Frankly, I'd want at least double to tangle with Bai'xao. She soundly kicked my ass in a sparring match, once.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

We should totally have a rematch. How many ribs did I break again?
