Yes they are considered T1 Ships
T2 implies like was said a specialization and more training, plus a cool T2 Ribbon in the corner
The only difference between a carrier and a supercarrier is:
1. Supers Need Sov to be built
2. Supers are way more expensive
3. Supers can use Fighter Bombers, which melt other caps
4. Supers are the biggest targets in eve, normal carriers slip under the radar, but EVERYONE wants to kill a Super

And no they cant come to high sec or use gates if that was your next question, it tends to follow that one

♣ Small Gang PVP, Large Fleet PVP, Black Ops, Incursions, Trade, and Industry ♣ 70% Lethal / 30% Super-Snuggly / 110% No idea what im doing ♣

You forgot one: supercarriers and titans cannot dock at stations.

I'm curious why you would pick the Nyx (sharp looks aside)? It seems to me, just hitting 3 million SP, to be really limited in its uses. At this point if I could only fly a single ship I'd probably pick the Proteus, since it can do pretty much everything (including dock). And it looks ok too.

Nyx has the most DPS of any super, and EHP-wise is only less tanky than the Aeon. Tank doesn't kill enemy capitals, however. Especially when you can refit between maxtank and maxdps on the fly.

That said, if you get an Aeon you get your own buffer plus the buffer of all the Nyxes in fleet with you.
