Where do people get the idea that atempts like the OP will work? They never do!

They're adamant about the material efficiency skill not getting reimbursed despite it bieng essentially deleted and replaced with a miniscule BS timesave skill. We'll see how this goes once the GNERD RAGE (reference intended) starts.

You'd be surprised to see how few people actually leave over **** stirring up in relation to what is brought in with conversion focus. Especially once players become a little vested, it's rare to see groups quit.

The only hickup which did have an impact (and which CCP did jump on) was some years ago, the internal newsletter leak thing, there the numbers were of interest. But in terms of feature / content aggravation, sure there's been factors that influence retention (anyone remember sovereignty based on pos spamming), but that is fully manageable in relation to CCP's efforts on conversion (bringing in trials, and seducing them).

I know, it's something a lot of people say very quickly - omgquit. The reality is that 1. CCP can replace a heck of a let with their existing conversion focus and 2. it barely makes a dent unless it encroaches on non-feature/content issues, like the trust relationship between customer / provider.

I'm trying to recall when they did so, but I am sure you can name instances?
When did they refund skillpoints when they didn't remove all functionality for the skills?

Because the best examples would all be counterexamples: Any ship rebalance ever done by CCP.

Jury Rigging IV I could get behind, but it's such a small amount of SP I really can't be bothered if they give it back or not.

Anchoring V has other uses for which many have trained it. So no refund there.

Any time they change anything, people want skillpoint refunds. They should just start saying no in advance.
