Hey there :P
I was wondering that, if I'd be put in a fleet battle like the one at Asakai, how much FPS would my rig squeeze?

Specs:
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 765M 2GB GDDR5
CPU: Intel Core i7 4700 2.4 gHz
16 GB RAM
1 TB Hard Drive

Game settings:
HDR - disabled
Graphics settings - all on High
Interval - immediate

This is a laptop, correct?

When you're at 10% TiDi and your modules don't work, framerate will be the last thing you worry about.

You seem to have a pretty beefy machine, you'll do as well as anyone. I recall seeing FPS counters of 3 FPS in streams from the B-R scuffle. I doubt that's because the GPU can't keep up though.

Your PC will have no problem running a second client to run missions with at full detail while your other character is in the fleet battle in 10% tidi. The tidi will prevent you from caring what your framerrate could be since the game won't be running at anything near that speed.

Best honest answer I can give.

The game seems to run at 60 fps from what I've seen (others might be able to correct me on that) and your rig would hit that number easily based on the specs.

60 fps at 100% TiDi is still a slow game though.

Pampher, yes it is a laptop.
And Carmen, what do you mean by "beefy"?

Even having a 200fps framerate means nothing when you are under full Tidi.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Obviously I'm referring to the CPU. Newer CPUs use ground beef semiconductors. Silicon is so 2013.

My experience with laptops is fps loss will normally come with temperature throttling.
As you have a "beefy" machine (which means strong/power/big) I would reccomend a decent laptop cooler and regular internal dusting.

But like peoples already said, in big battles you are tidi'd anyway.

With the right configuration, my client can run on high at about 150 FPS.
So you guys are saying that TiDi will make my FPS drop, not the GPU?

No no, your PC is powerful enough, you must read a bit on what tidi is and you will understand.

If you can, add a solid state drive to play eve on and make it your primary boot drive. You will get a bit of performance gain with it.

One of the things I loved about this game back in the day when I played on laptop with a single core processor was how little demands Eve put on my system. Granted, I had things turned down to from medium to low, but OP your system seems to have more than enough power to run this game effectively. My specs are similar and this thing runs smoother than a baby's butt. Smile

Could you people please stop trolling this clueless guy?

No man, your machine isn't really good enough, I suggest upgrading.
Also, best thing you can do is always run your client in immediate intervals
so you actually put that GPU to good use! Don't mind the noise, that's normal.

Also... as atoms rotate faster when heated up,
I strongly suggest to cover your machine in something and
make sure that you remove all the fans.

The extra heat will give you around 10% more performance
because signals get moved faster from atom to atom that way.

Glad I was of help and don't listen to the trolls!

Its not even a matter of the FPS dropping. TIDI literally makes the game simulation slower than real time. 10 seconds of real life = 1 second in game. Thats why your frame rate doesn't matter. The entire simulation gets slowed down. Its going to look like a slideshow regardless of the PC.

i am confused.

How is TiDI related to GPU rendering?

If a picture can be rendered, and done so quickly, why would the simulation look like a slideshow, as opposed to the matrix. AS in, thats what TiDI does, slows the game, not the image.
