--Don't worry, I tried to do a search for Stock Market-- My poor single celled brain was overwhelmed.

So, a lot of people have asked for a stock market for Corps in EVE.
A player based stock market would be to much work and from the way corps are handled right now. To much head ache for CCP and the players.

What about a NPC Stock Market

-The price of the share would be based on the activity of the Corp. (I'll leave CCP to the major math)
i.e. The NPC corps used as trade hubs would have a massive cost due to the amount of ISK going through them.
i.e. SOE stock would be high due to the number of Mission runners.
i.e. Taxed paid by Players in NPC corps.

-Owning stock could have some fun in game features
--voting
--discounts (You know those member discounts)
--monthly dividends

**The hope is to have the most popular NPC Corps stock prices be nearly to much for any players to pay right away.
While less used NPC corps would have cheaper stock prices.

Thoughts/Feedback.

No, the rise of the stock market is the source of all modern ills. It's corrupting and licentious. I do not want to see eve destroyed by the types of pressures a stock market would apply to registered corps or alliances.

Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction...

trouble is nearly all, if not all, NPC corps have a very one sided influence in the market. and by that i mean they either act as an isk sink, or an isk faucet. i cannot think of any NPC corp that does both fairly equally.

Why wouldnt u invest in an NPC corp that absorbs trillions in corp tax, sells unlimited BPO's, skill books and LP store items and spends next to nothing on anything...ever? The share price will just inflate ridiculously and forever.

Why would u invest in CONCORD who insist on paying out countless trillions to anyone and everyone for shooting toothless pirates for five minutes. Especially when their only income is an LP store used by a minority of the games population? Or an insurance corp who give out free insurance? The share price will plummet towards nothing almost instantly.

Other issues:
- Votes on what? NPC Corp tax level? TwistedTwisted
- Monthly dividends are not fun. Its free money for **** all work. In real life, investors sponge off the work of the corp, but what work is there in creating unlimited BPO's, Skillbooks and LP items? What resources are expended to create these items?

so its not going to work like u want. Maybe with a random number generator arbitrarily changing share price every few minutes and/or business news releases from CCP u could have some gambling fun, but u cant link it to actual corp activity.

I didn't say the task of creating this would be easy.
It would take a lot of work to balance it just right.

But to voting
I.e. Fed navy is looking to have a massive attack on an Amarr or Caldari system. Players could vote on one of the two.
This would help create more events, live vents for players to jump on.

I do know one thing, the game is not where is should be to do something like this.
Just an idea for the future.
