And is PLEX what I think it is? A way of buying ISK for real currency?
Basically 19 Euro gives you 800 MILLIONS ISK? What happened since I was gone? Have they gone mad?
This must be the worse implement of the idea of buying in-game currency for real-life currency? Haven't seen anything worse than this...

You CANNOT redeem PLEX for Isk. A plex is simply a month of game time. Now you can simply give that game time to another player and he wil pay you what he thinks it is worth. Currently approx 800M.

All that ISK must have been generated via in game means. No isk is injected into the eve economy as a result of PLEX.


Now as I am well off in real life it is time to buy some PLEX and sell it to the peasants....may the bubble never burst.

I drain ducks of their moisture for sustenance.

but ingame money you have worked for in one way or another.

800M might seem a bit obscene to a returning player. It doesn't take as long to earn that much now as it did 8 years ago though.

Did you leave 8 years ago just because EVE was dying?

Mining is boring, don't you know that? Well, maybe not that much as it was in 2003:

That's the problem isn't it?

For those of us that have been around a while, 800m is nothing and takes no time to make. For the other 300k players, it's going to be the difference between continuing to play or finding another game.

CCP needs to rethink how their PLEX mechanics is implemented.

Considering his reputation was forged years ago and he's still profiting from it I'd say he's doing pretty damn well if you ask me. How many other people are legitimately trustworthy enough to do super trades seeing as the first time you ever steal one is the last time you ever steal one...

In other words plex was by some persons design being forced out of peoples hands as a kind of investment commodity instead of its original function of getting the average person to pay more money. Supply exceeded consumption until only very recently.

I'm hoping mynnna is correct and plex is just in a massive bubble. Of course I will keep selling it till it drops.
