There is plenty of variety of ships within Eve, likely too much variety.
The problem with null sec resides squarely with CCP allowing the cartels to form, and then doing nothing to destroy them once they had been established.

If the incentives (namely, massive ISK generation from renters and risk free moon-goo and ratting, among other things) to create the blue blanket went away, then the cartels would dissolve back into smaller fractious groups, and the game would resort back to where it was a few years ago, where opportunity existed for all to enter null and fight for turf.

But that won't happen.

TL;DR: Eve is dieing and highsec should be buffed since it's the new nullsec.

LoL, kudos for being able to read it and more for resuming so nicely.

And it shouldnt

That is the single worst thing that could happen in this game before banning free choice

Huffle-fluff!

If the isk incentives for holding null sec space went away then why would smaller groups want to fight over the turf? You make no sense.

"risk free moon-goo" is only risk-free if one recruits, builds and successfully fields the armies necessary to defend it and deter the risks.

If anything, the rewards should be greater on a personal pilot level, and alliances should have a means of taxing their members' use of the space. Then smaller groups would have the incentive to dive in and take one system, and gain some benefit from it quickly. It takes too much investment for a small group to bulid the army it takes to conquer a system and defend it long-term in order to even come close to making a profit on the affair.

With lower benefits, it takes something coalition-sized to be able to reap enough profit from the moons to fund the defense necessary to hold the space. I believe they call this concept economies of scale - the fixed cost of fielding the army required to defend space is spread out over the income of many systems.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

Increase nullsec fighting?

Maybe you haven't lived there.....people in sov nullsec are grinding massive piles of isk every hour and a lot of them only care about their pile of isk. There is plenty of space for everybody in sov nullsec to make this isk. They aren't going to bother eachother much so long as there is plenty of space. As a mere pleb I make ~120m per toon per hour there in a -0.37 system before escalations and drops and I'm not even doing it right.....you can afk an ishtar for 90m per hour.

But hey, lets put more ships in the game for them to buy and hoard. Right?

I've lived in null sec for over 5 years. I've battled against Red Overlord, Test, A A.A Goon and more and also had fights with them.

My corp was making roughly 16 bil a month in 0-0 space!

Back when their were constant fighting from roam fleets. We never lost ships that were substantial losses with the isk we were making!

We would field a T3 fleet and times a carrier if needed and when we lost the fight it wasn't enough to really put a dent in our corp wallet!

Keep in mind I'm talking about 1 corp about 150 man corp and no moon goo. All moon goo went to the alliance and the alliance had a ship program witch most do. Isk isn't hard to make in eve its very easy and plenty of options to do so.

This is about making eve more interesting and tougher rather then making it easy and boring. People start crying about how long this takes and how hard this is ect ect so the game changes things to make it way easier and less challenging. All I see from people is make it hard! What? Why make things harder? I see people make comments about wow players come to eve and buy plexes to get instant isk instead of working for it. Then complain they lose a 3 bill raven or so on!

These players complain beg to make games easier for them because they are to lazy to grind out isk the way the game is intended for and set up fi

horrible, I liked the original version better, but it did have a drawback, it was way too short.

I don't rage. I would like see and be in more cap fleet battles like before. Not intercepters and Ishtar fleets ect.

I think its amusing that people will say no and dismiss ideas without good reason or explanation.
