L4 mission ships in Kronos

I have been on a bit of a hiatus due to school, and I have not really kept up with what Kronos brought with it. I used to fly a CNR and Tengu primarily, before parking it in a Golem after Rubicon. I was wondering if Kronos brought faster L4s with other ships, specifically the Rattlesnake. I had a rattler on another character about a year ago, but wasnt a huge fan, but I am looking at maybe fleshing out my drone skills and try out the Rattlesnake.

So I suppose my overall question is if Kronos brought any new "big players" to L4 farming, as far as speed and efficiency. I have tried just about everything in the past, and I am willing to pick up a char with a different ship and weaponry type if the switch will be worth it. Thanks in advance for your insight!

Yeah, I had a Mach/Vargur pilot some time ago, but it was my understanding that not much changed on that front with Kronos.

Rattler has changed a lot.

it used to be a sniper that could if needed get a huge amount of passive tank.


it is now a high DPS brawler/mid-range boat that can chew up level IV missions.

PROVISO: you cannot get the huge passive tank and still maintain that high DPS as your lows are now full of DDA and BCS. Also its not possible to snipe at 120km plus with sentries anymore if you want to fit all 5 launchers.

With my mission alt I am finding the Rattler can complete level IV missions considerably faster than my Domi but requires a lot more attention and work. The Domi is a touch slower but semi AFK.

rattler is pretty much the same as it was just now can fit for damage and actually be somewhat effective with its extra launcher and kin/therm damage bonus.

other than that it seems to me there really wasn't all that much change.
