Automate the Pausing of the Skill Queue when clone jumping

It would be nice if the game just automatically paused, jumped, then restarted the skill in training when you select to jump to a jump clone.

Keep the manual eject though, to prevent the inevitable accidental jump. :)

I for one would love this to be a thing, i jump clone ALOT and while this isnt a BIG problem it is what i would define as "a little thing that makes eve more convenient/fun/etc"

I dont see how it would hurt anything since i think everyone makes the additional 4 button pushes automatically anyways and automating them doesn't seem like it would be exploitable, dumb, broken, or other "unfavorable adjective". I vote for this to be a thing immediately

Good idea+1
€20 says they can't because it would break the sov code.

QoL improvement - would love it - bet it doesn't happen

For posting an idea into F&I: come up with idea, try and think how people could abuse this, try to fix your idea - loop the process until you can't see how it could be abused, then post to the forums to let us figure out how to abuse it..... If your idea can be abused, it WILL be.

They already brought up this when they changed it so you can plug in implants without pausing. I think part of the issues is having different implant sets when switching which changes the training time which is why for the moment you have to pause.
Definitely for this though +1

Thats the thing. I'm saying instead of making us manually have to click the button, just pause it automatically then restart it.

Everything about this idea is great, which means it will be at least a year and a half before it gets any attention.

It already happens for plugging in implants. So, yeah, who would be hurt by this change?

If no, then some way to pause the queue with less clicks like a pause queue button to the right of jump.

I posted this Karkur's little things thread, and I'll back it here.

THere's no reason I can see why this shouldn't be done - it's just annoying to have to go to a screen, click a button, so I can go to another screen and click the button I really wanted to click in the first place.

Oh and then I have to go back to the first screen and click yet ANOTHER damned button to finish the process.

FFS CCP, this change should take all of 10 minutes to code - just add two function calls to the Jump button to call the pause and apply buttons.

So instead of

function cloneJump(){
Stuff is done here!
}

you get
function cloneJump(){
pauseSkillQueue();
Do clone jump crap;
resumeSkillQueue()
}

JUST DO IT FFS!!!!!!!!!!

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

I can't believe this is still a thing, such a simple fix for an extremely irritating problem.

DO IT.

No downside to this suggestion, it is simply sorting out a poor mechanic. Conclusion:- do it Now or sooner!

I agree, this is a common sense thing that pretty much everyone else will agree to as well.

I do, however, wonder why you have to pause for so many things.

Try adding bonus skill points, you will have to not only pause but remove the skill from your queue. Putting in implants also require pausing.

With all of this in consideration I am guessing it has to do with the way it is coded in the game and they time it would take to alleviate the issue as compared to the annoyance is causes the players is not beneficial enough to the company.

I mean, hell, who really knows the real reason.

If it can be done easily I would say please do this.

Bump and +999

I lost 4h of training yesterday because I missed to restart the queue (though I was sure I have pressed the apply button ...).

+1 Since injecting implants no longer requires players to pause/unpause their skill queue, I see no reason not to do this too with jump clones. Well, perhaps technical reasons, but I'm pretty sure the code is similar to that of implants, so it shouldn't be much difficult.
