grouping of offensive modules other than guns/launchers? pwease?

im sure this has been in this forum a million times. here is the 1,000,001th time!

with all these glorious UI improvements you guys are sending our way do you have any plan to allow grouping of modules other than guns and launchers?

pretty sure lots of people would love you for it..

What type of active module do you need to group which you will activate on the same target ? And in such a fashion that grouping becomes necessary.

You know there is a 'no-show' option in your UI if you just want to organise the clutter and you can drag adn drop them too Roll.

Moving your mods to the top row will ease this difficult task to, when you hit F-1 your fingers already loom over F2, F3 ... not to mention that off-cycling or recycling one mod will become impossible.

I can't really think of another offensive module I would actually want to group. Maybe target painters, some of the time? Smartbombs, again, maybe, sometimes?

Would not want to group neuts - that would prevent staggering - and generally I want to be able to spread or focus ewar as needed.

I wouldn't mind being able to group webs on my rapier or huginn. It's not that big a deal though, the keys to activate them one by one are right next to each other. Still, it could be handy.

How about a Mass driver that's a battleship-sized weapon? The ammunition would be smallish asteroids that you'd load into the bay and launch at people for massive alpha damage, or use for dust 514 if you want to wipe every motherf*cker off the map.

EDIT: Thought this was a thread about adding actual new weapon systems to the game. Sleepy, but I stand by my desire for adding mass drivers to the game.

I used to fly one a lot, actually, and while at times it would have been nice to group all my webs together, most times I had them spread out to multiple targets.

Although being able to group both my scram and warp disruptor on my tripple point inty would be nice.

i get that i really do, there is also the issue of capacitor, if you have webs in a group and you only have cap to activate one then none will activate, but there are still a lot of other situations that would benefit... like changing scripts for multiple tracking computers for instance. Im not saying it should be mandatory but i would like to have the choice.
