Rule of this thread:

1. No trolling
2. Only serious replies please.

I was curious in regards of scamming that although obviously done in-game, but those scams that use official eve online forum references such as threads by the scammer, that are strategically placed in certain forum sections, to make people believe its credibility, in fact, that even have positive reviews from a few players (also players from major alliances) that have been allowed to win tiny amounts, that went ahead and posted in the forum that it is legit, and fun and whatnot? However, at some point, all the players are suddenly scammed at once, and all having been made believe the scam due that it was placed in the eve online official forums.

Although I do not oppose in-game scamming at all, as it is a way of life and there is no boundries in the horror of space, I do however inquire about this type of scamming.

In short: Are you allowed to use CCP Eve Online Forums in order to scamm people ?

Scammer. I'm not sure what you're scamming me of, but I won't fall for it! Shame on you for using our pure and innocent forums for such sinful crimes.

I wear my goggles at night.

Any spelling/grammatical errors come complimentary with my typing on a phone

These sound like serious accusations against someone who may be a legitimate and forthcoming EVE citizen. Do you have any evidence to perhaps support these grave allegations? Otherwise I think it's wise to treat the original post as libel.

Read the thread rules please. It states: No trolling.

I will not provide evidence in order to actually protect the person in question in case the person would be legit. So no idea what some here are bragging about, I am actually doing the person a favor for the cover not to be blown because you guys, have no idea, how he is manipulating the forums in order to have people directed to him in game, and using his forum post again in-game as a reference to scam people.

Again, and I welcome an ISD or DEV to answer as I see them answering also in other threads:

Are you allowed to scam using eve online forums as the means of doing so? Yes or No.

Thanks.

I heard of them and read about them but what do their legit means of scamming have anything to do with posting in the official online forums with the interest to scamm people. So you are telling YES. You are allowed to scam people using the CCP Eve Online Forums as the means for it. Is that what you are saying?

Didn't my post answer that?

Yes, as long as the posts are on-topic, and do not break forum rules.

The Character Bazaar is off-limits for scamming, as is EVE New Citizens Q&A. [General rule of EVE: don't mess with newbros.]

See the relevant forum stickies, if any, for rules and guidelines.

Two of the biggest scams in EVE history originated in the Market Discussions (MD) forum.

Do you have some examples that you could link please? (by examples I mean still open threads that people complain about being scams, closed threads, etc, not external links) You could be right, but I really need to know if you can scamm people via the eve online forums without being punished by CCP. I need to see some examples please :)

Yes, with some exceptions: The Character Bazaar, Timecode Bazaar, New Citizens Q&A are all scam-free locations. In addition, it is a serious violation to scam any character or ETC sale. These kinds of scamming get swift processing by GMs and carry severe punishments.

Ok, you told what I needed to hear! I will keep the person anonymous then because that is the best and easiest trick to scam someone heh :) You can close the thread now. Ty.

Your rules are worth nothing.

This thread is now about Pizza! :p

SP and I have changed the rules. Any deviation will result in us answering your deviations with even more extreme deviation.

Rule 1: This thread is about Pizza

Rule 2: If you have a problem, please feel free to send us more hate/fan mail. I do so love receiving Evemails about how much I'm loved/hated and I know SP does too. I hope some day to compile these into a blog worthy of the words "mental torture".

Rule 3: You can't OWN a thread MAN, its one of Mother Nature's creatures DUDE

"A singular character could be hired to penetrate another corps space... using gorilla like tactics..." - Chane Morgann

Also garlic on the edges is great!
