Checked this and they are despawning fine, but the timer is set to over 2 minutes so despawn doesn't happen immediately. Sometimes it will be possible to find a site with an already hacked container.


The site I have found does not despawn at all. It was hacked when I arrived almost an hour ago, and is still there now (I did not wait on site)

So I find a "Contested Guristas Covert Research Facility" and I get this message when using my Data Analyzer "No further tools are needed to access the Guristas Transponder Tower" so I click to open it's cargo bay and I get this "You cannot access the Guristas Transponder Tower without specialized equipment."ShockedUgh

I am so confused.
Is this happening to anyone else?

Means it was probably already hacked and belongs to someone else, might want to leave the site before it goes boom :P

If it does mean the site was already finished and there's nothing left for you, saying "You cannot access the Guristas Transponder Tower without specialized equipment" is the worst possible way of saying it.

And if it does go BOOM it takes it's sweet time. aka over 15 minutes.
And shooting at the darn thing in frustration only gives you a suspect timer.

Its not the greatest error but the can not being a filled white circle on the overview should already be enough of a hint that the can contains no loot :)

Unfortunately it's not showing up on my overview at all. And yes, I have done the standard proccedure to try to get it to show up on the overview.

FYI You can actually buy/sell therm on the market, it just doesn't come up in the search or the tree. You also can't link one unless you already have one or a link to one

So if I understand this right. Once enough sites have been hacked the straight combat ones will be permanantly opened?


Will these be spawning in all space or just high and low sec?

FYI I just hacked 3 separate sites in low-sec, all showed as a solid white diamond (unlooted) and needed a data analyzer to unlock them. For my glorious endeavors I was rewarded with... 3 empty cans. No loot in any of them. I assume bug?

Did the sites that refused to despawn yesterday lock themselves again after the downtime, but with no reseeded loot? That's going to make exploration really annoying...

The small releases actually start with Crius next month... although if the industry changes are released with Crius it will be a rather "large" release.

My little heron got destroyed by a site after just warping in and getting to orbit at 5km. Ugh

I have determine these site are not worth doing from sites not despawning to being completely empty to randomly blowing up.

I was JUST about to add to the discussion.. I lost 2 ships after scanning down these things. My first i just started to hack, then BOOM, the 2nd all i did was target it, and less than a min. later.. BOOM destroying that one. So you don't even have to HACK it for it to go boom. I wish i had known to start my reps before the 2nd went boom.

I am new player with less than 2 million SP. I am bleeding lSK now cause of these random explosions after loosing two sets SoE core probe launcher and core probes. I feel like I am playing an early access alpha game on Steam.
