The forum was made With a purpose, an good idea to getanswers, share and discuss.

Somehow on the way, it got screwed backwards into a 3rd world Virtual wall of crap.

Some tries to get answers, some ask Critical questions, some have ideas, both godd and bad, some have no Clue and ask anyways.

Over years with posts after posts, the forum has been twisted into a place for users to abuse the rules for the forum to gain what they want.

If a forumuser finds a post which contain something he/she dont like, its fairly easy to get it closed by posting crap to iginite a more insulting discussion or in other ways get the attention of the mods.

The mods job is to moderate the forum, but as it has developed, they actually in many cases do it wrong. Lets say person A makes a discussion, person B and C answers in good manner, person D dont like the answers or the OP and post an asnwer thats insulting directly or indirectly. Noone reports person D. Others jump on the post and escalates the situsation.
Mods then comes over this posts and finds it in breach of the rules and Closes the hole thread.

So in such cases Mods actually punish the OP wrongly by closing the thread, when person D, and the others that fueled the escalates, should been punished by removing his post and given a warning... and let the OP be open for further discussion.

And this is so easy to abuse and many forumusers knows this and activily use this metod without any real danger of getting punished.

So in my view, this forum is faulted.

I miss Sibyyl.

That ringing in your ears you're experiencing right now is the last gasping breathe of a dying inner ear as it got thoroughly PULVERISED by the point roaring over your head at supersonic speeds. - Tippia

I'm sorry, but are you talking about any particular forum or an Internet forum as a general concept?

Humanity is imperfect, thus everything created by man is flawed, thus this forum is faulted.
And you're not helping.

By creating a pointless thread to further clutter up the forum you are complaining about? Lol

So you're saying that you're helping by adding to the workload instead of using the report feature to point out actual issues that can be corrected?

That seems counterproductive.

Being the highly refined player I am, I will ask you to use proper bucket filling technique. Please face down into the bucket in such a manner, that will allow your tears fall directly away from your eyes and into the collection receptacle. I prefer purity, and tears rolling down the cheeks may be tainted by Cheetos dust, dried Koolaid, hot pockets grease, etc... This is unacceptable.

.

They say most of your brain shuts down on the EvE forums. All but the impatient side, and the sarcastic side. No wonder I'm still awake.

people don't game the rules here, this is not a forum moderated by faceless employees following some set of rules just like a lot of other forums. moderators here are knowledgeable of the discussions and are familiar with the ways of the EVE neckbeard, and will spot some dude trying to bait a response a mile away.

i will agree that sometimes people can be assholes, but gaming rules just to get someone else banned? no.

eve is still a small game for that to happen, we know who is who here.

In many cases there are posts that point out issues that needs to be corrected, but many of them get closed Down due to others replies thats in breach of the rules.
