Steam in-home-streaming?

So it's been a bit since Steam released its new in-home-streaming to the public, and it seems that EVE doesn't work through in-home-streaming with my client as I purchased my game outside of Steam years ago. Does in-home-streaming work at all for any of you who purchased EVE through Steam when running EVE?

In-home-streaming works brilliantly with graphic-intense games like Planetside 2 on ultra and Max Payne 3, but all of these games I purchased through Steam; so I'm super pumped to get EVE working through in-home-streaming as well.

I did try to add the Client to Steam through the "Add non-steam games to library" button, which succeeded in booting the client, but resulted in a black screen and a floating mouse on my laptop which I was streaming the client to.

Let me know how you all have fared, because in-home-streaming is the fokken shiz.

Me either. I don't mind some command line fudgery if it works, just something more than a black screen ;).

If you check out this dev post: http://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/eve-on-steam-past-present-and-future, CCP Spitfire says that,

Initially the new features will be rolled out to new users only. Once we evaluate the feedback and data from the first stage of the program, we will look at taking the next steps and adding new features to the integration. EVE Online subscription and PLEX packages on Steam are priced in the exact same way as on our own website, so all players are on equal footing regardless of the way they pay for their subscriptions.

That was over a year ago. SO hopefully with in-home-streaming being as awesome as it is CCP has a reason to finish what they started :).

Steam in-home stream works with 'non-steam' games, just put them in your collection... i am guessing the exe that launches the game it's self would give you the best luck.

It seems there was a problem with your link. EvE on steam. Past present and future.
