How about we just remove Local from Jita and call it a day?

Aside from all the free-intel you could get from this, I don't even think this would be justifiable. Characters of a same account are only linked out-of-game by the real life player and the money he pays to keep his account active. You pay a fee to have 3 character slots, with the restriction of having only 1 logged at the same time. That's it.

There is absolutely nothing linking characters of a same account together ingame, and it should remain this way, no exceptions.

I want to be able to block an entire account.
When visiting the wonderful market places that are the trade hubs I'm sure we are all aware of the crap in local. Each time I visit I find myself blocking the spammers for the odd gem in local. I know what all the scams look like and don't need them posting by a new character each time I visit.

Blocking any particular character simply is not enough, I know it's going to get bio-massed in no more than ten hours for a new character to take it's place for the spam script to be run on the next time I log on.

I would totally settle for my context menu to have a "block account" option. Selecting this means I get ONE confirmation message after which I never, ever, get another confirmation, I am totally unable to retract my decision, I am totally unable to see what characters future or past I have blocked using this option, my block list does not increase or decrease when characters are created or bio-massed on that account, nor are any of these characters names listed anywhere I can see.

The negative impact of this option is: -

Errrrrr
Well ****, I can't think of a scenario this would be a bad thing.

Sorry but that would give too much info on who's who and while alts are probably worth a big discussion the ease of use to only have to click ignore one character instead of three does not make up for that massive amount of intel to be gained from it.

Minimise local, turn off blink for tab and ignore.

Problem solved.

blocks all characters on all accounts.

But I don't want to do that, I want to block specific accounts only, it's not everyone spamming so why blanket punish?

To add a little more, what are they losing by being blocked by someone who instantly recognises their scam for a scam? Why must they continue to create more characters when they will only be blocked immediately once more?

If brute force isn't working, you're just not using enough.

The only thing you need local for is the pilot in system list, the rest can be shrinked until it's invisible.
