New Starmap background? (F10 Menu)

Having already cleared cache I've been having a hard time enabling these new starmap backgrounds. All I have are the old black ones.

Is there someting I need to do to be able to see these?

Clear cache, reopen, should work. It's not very different from old one so it may be there without you noticing. Thats what worked for me. If yours isnt, submit bug report and let someone at CCP figure it out.

Clarification: they updated the System map backgrounds, not the universe (star) map. You may need to hit the "System Map" button on the starmap control panel to get to it, alternatively open the map using the map button on the Scanner window.

I wishe dthey didnt make the solar backgrounds all black I rather have a dark blue holo sphere or something. grey on black hurts my eyes.

You may want to try adjusting your monitors brightness and contrast.

But I have to say, I wish CCP would let us adjust the gamma. I love the nebula but would like more dynamic range in my inflight visuals.
