For the moment, CCP's priority is to help RMTers get back on the straight and narrow. The presentation at Fanfest indicated that most RMT happens with players that are days to a couple of months into the game, who are looking for a quick financial boost. I'd love to have some word from CCP about whether giving them a lot of ISK up-front works as a preventative measure, but I'll happily cruise on in ignorance for the meantime.


CCP gave the average age of characters and accounts that have been banned. They didn't specify whether these were just "young and dumb" or whether that is somehow related to using new accounts to do the deed before washing it washing it through multiple transfers on behalf of some other account that is much older.

advertising to create a market for plex sellers instead of caring a little bit more about the plex consumers...

You as a PLEX consumer are secondary to those that pay for it with cash. PLEX is nothing but a tool for combating RMT. If illegal (3rd party) RMT did not exist, its quite possible that PLEX would not exist. PLEX is a means to an end. The fact some players can benefit by funding their in-game experience is a byproduct of the need to give a legal option for those seeking to buy ISK with real money.

I know most on the forum love to argue without facts, well the above does give a lot of details of what CCP is up to just as the title states Smile

Anyway just for you Mallak at 29mins 20 secs in it shows 'ISK seized / Impounded per month from October 2013 to April 2014' if you do the maths it works out at approx 2 Trillion ISK seized per month.

I really see no reason why people buy ISK from others. Support your game, support your developers. Buy PLEX if you need to top up your in-game ISK reserves.

So the people that cry about plex are the people that feel the need to have 10 accounts..

While the people that run on one or two are doing fine and don't have any issues paying to play the game =D
Maybe the solution for the people crying about plex prices is cut down the amount of accounts you use =D
