Ok so say a corp has been inactive since 2004 and the CEO hasn't logged on since then

If I asked a gm to give me CEO of it would that be ok

And say I had the blessing of the original CEO

How can you prove the CEO gave you his blessing?

Not the current CEO, the original CEO and maker of the corp still plays and I've talked to him about it

just make a new corp, it's not like it's difficult.

But if he's not the owner of it anymore, how can he say it's okay for you to take it?

Actually it is when you have to name corps blahblahblah128575.

Siting for an hour trying to find an name that doesn't need numbers is quite annoying

I highly doubt you'd get the CEO, even with the blessing of the original CEO. CCP is quite touchy when it comes to this kind of stuff, not very lenient.

Just put a dot on the end. If its already got a dot, add another. After a while, it becomes a whole new deal.

If you are already an active member of the corp in question and have been for a long time or are the only one left who is active, there is a chance a GM would assist you if the CEO has not been active in as long as you claim.

If you are not a member and are just trying to get the corp, you may as well start a new one now.

If the CEO account is inactive but you have contact with the player that owns the account but doesn't want to pay for it, just buy a PLEX, contract it to the CEO, tell the player to use hours for PLEX on the account and have him transfer the corp to you.

Should have an inactivity timer. Dont login for so long say a year, then it picks someone next in line to take it, like a director.

That's no proof.

He has to petition it and you have to petition accordingly,
refering to each others petition.

Otoh, if you can talk to the current CEO,
he could as well hand it to you.

If he isn't subbed, then good luck proving it.

As far as taking over a corp from the previous CEO, I highly suspect that CCP would very well say no, UNLESS it's an extreme case where unless the owner passed away in RL, then no.

Now just for a comparison, there was a huge outage within the World of Warcraft community regarding the guild leadership and they had the same problems there as well with the leader not logging in. So speaking from experience I cannot say that CCP would just hand over the corp to you and say "here you are; take it and run", it just isn't possible.

The CEO may have valid reasons to not turn it over to someone else and it's very possible that someone else is in the position to run it as is. Also a current CEO may well be appointed by the owner so that cuts you out.

Hope this helps in clearing some questions you may have yet.Pirate
