Cargohold optimisation rig vs Ore hold

Hi.

I have Venture, and it has corgo hold and Ore hold. Ore hold is 5000 m3. I wonder if I will put some rigs on that ship, that should increase cargo hold, will they also increase my Ore hold? I will have money (thanks to buddy), but I do not have rigs skills. If you say, that those rigs will increase my ore hold I will invest time into rig skils earlier on.

Thank you for answer.

cargo rigs, or modules for that matter, don't increase specialized hold capacity(ore, ammo, minerals, etc)

This.

If you like the Venture you might also like the forthcoming T2 version: the Prospect. it will have a larger cargo bay and a 10,000m3 ore hold. Unfortunately it will probably start selling for twice what a mining barge costs.

the only rigs I would put on a venture are shield tanking rigs
nothing else is really useful from a mining perspective

I also like astrometric rigging for faster align times.

You should train at least to lvl 1 for rig skills like that. They come in handy. But no, it won't help your ore hold.

Tau: that looks like a high-sec fit.
What would you use for ninja mining in low or null? Have you given any thought to what you would use with the upcoming Prospect for ninja mining?

You hardly kill rats in null belts with just 2 hobgoblins. This has 6 k EHP, but you may be better off with kinetic and thermal hardeners, instead of universal ones. +2 core strength should let you escape solo hunter and your best defense is short time spend in asteroid field. Thats why 2 drones. Fit is cheap as frigate itself. ;) Mining laser upgrade instead of DC will give you tiny 9 % yield but you will lose 1/6 of your EHP.
