When are CCP going to come up with something cool like interlocking ships that form into one absolute monster? each pilot could then have a role in that big ship.

Due to how EVE is programmed, you can't have more than one pilot in a ship currently.

Voltron made this cool, the Power Rangers just stole it and madeit into a way to force parents to buy more schlocky toys.

I remember one of the Devs (I think it was Fozzie) talking about wanting to have multiple players in ships, during either one of the alliance tournaments or the New Eden Open. (Pretty sure that one of the other Dev's mentioned that he was thinking about it due to some game he was playing.)

Might happen someday.

well...DUST bunnies want eve/dust interaction...check google for Starfleet/X-Bomber and look at the ground function of the Dai-X Mecha ... That is an Eve/Dust crossover I could happily buy into :)

it's amazing isn't how a game comes out where you have multiple people controling a single ship each with different jobs to do and all of a sudden people are posting the exact same idea.... yes we've seen the game too and yes it's pretty cool but no eve isn't that game

seriously - the point of being capsuleers is that we can operate a single ship with only our brain (unfortunately - wifi can't handle the data stream, so we need to be physically inside that ship) why would I want to share this control, unless to get perfect skills sooner (one player nav, one player offensive, one player defensive, one player engineering and CPU, one player Ewar/tackle - but for 'player' read 'alt')

For posting an idea into F&I: come up with idea, try and think how people could abuse this, try to fix your idea - loop the process until you can't see how it could be abused, then post to the forums to let us figure out how to abuse it..... If your idea can be abused, it [u]WILL[/u] be.

Realistically this just doesn't fit in Eve. Without any kind of MASSIVE change to the game, this would just become 5 alts being controlled by 1 person, and we all know how much people love multiboxers as it is.

You are completely wrong. Everything CCP do in this game is about forcing people to collaborate......ultimately they tolerate the lone player, but that's not who they really want playing.

Yes, multiboxers exist out there and they always will. Let's not forget though that multiboxers tend to be good at something that can be controlled by the likes of IS boxer or whatever it's called. Whereas if there were say 5 distinct roles that required effort to control, then it would only work if it was 1 person doing 1 role.

If anything needs to be buried it's people with your sort of outlook. I bet you cried like a ganked carebear when nano's were nerfed too.

So what would you suggest, 3 different minigames for the supporting roles of the ship while 2 people manually aim the guns?

Do you realize how much of a rewrite in the code that would take?

It's not worth their time, you would change the very core of the game if you made it virtually impossible to multibox this ship. Not to mention that I believe someone said that due to the coding that you can only have 1 person in a ship at 1 time.

CCP would be better off just creating an entire new game then to try to implement this in Eve.
