NPC alt asking for a 200mil deposit for the opportunity to blow up a POS in high-sec that is claimed to have an expensive BPO in it.








What kind of reaction were you expecting exactly?

Without pretense of speaking on behalf of the entire merc community, POS and POCO bashing are services many mercs (like us) offer, but consider akin to ditch-digging, outhouse hole digging or perhaps painting the entire interior of a house (my personal bane)...

TLDR; Mercs will do it, but expect to pay a premium to compensate for FC's having to literally horse-whip their members into attending said activity. No merc is going to pay a guy pointing at a house in need of painting, to have the 'pleasure' of painting said house.

that has to be the most sensible post in this thread. my target audience is people who enjoy painting houses, and are willing to accept a 2b payout. theoretically without reinforcement a 10 man bs fleet can pop it under 3 hours.

A ten man BS fleet can pop it in under 3 hrs... lets do some math.
2.5b - .2b to pay you = 2.3b
2.3b /10people =230m/person
230m/3 hrs = 76m/hr/person

Hm, if anyone actually needs money and is stupid enough to believe you, I would direct them to incursions or high sec missions.

You should really rephrase this differently. You're effectively asking for a finder's fee on a potential loot pinata tower, but you're asking to get paid a pretty big pile of money up front for an underwhelming and uncertain payout. 2.3 billion isn't that much split between a crew, and that's assuming the best-case scenario where the tower owner with billions at stake doesn't take the 24-hour wardec notification to erect additional defenses, hire mercs of their own, or just move their valuable assets to a station. Oh, and don't forget the 50/50 chance for the loot to even drop in the first place.


That's a whole lot of risk you're asking other people to take to get their cut of the pie after paying you 200+ million and grinding down a tower that will almost inevitably be covered in hardeners and ECM when they get there.


If this is a serious post and not some sort of scam attempt, you might actually be able to get a taker if your offer was instead receiving a negotiated (probably not very high) percentage of whatever the mercs were able to successfully take from the tower as a finder's fee, though I'm also not sure if 2.X billion is really enough to motivate anyone to chew through a tower.

Incs are not for everyone you need to invest a lot of sp. then you need to get the ship of your dreams then you need to run some Incs which may or not be taken already. pos ships can bfly a t3 bs in a much cheaper investment and time requirements compared to getting into incs

You do realize there is a 0% chance that 2bil+ will drop from the POS, right? As previously stated, it will be removed from said POS before or during the attack. Also, unless they changed something, you can keep the BPO's in a station...

2.5b * 50% drop rate = 1.25b
1.25b - 500m = 725m
725m/10 people = 72.5m
72.5m/ 3 hrs = 24.2m/hr/person

I need to revise my earlier statement. They should run LEVEL 3 missions instead. And that is assuming a 50% drop rate. That can vary widely.

From what I can gather you're trying to make back 200m that was scammed off of you while also getting the original contract done. Try contacting a reputable merc corp instead of going with the first guy to mail you.
