New Warp Mechanic / Possible Exploit

I use a Droid Hotspot to play EvE on. Although most of the times the environment performs flawlessly there are those times when it likes WTF!

For example I was warping from one system to the next while loading up some information about EvE Valkyrie when all of a sudden the warp to destination went blank with the AU clock down time also disappearing because of the EvE Valkyrie movie trying to be played at the same time during warping. As soon as I closed the EvE Valkyrie page the warping returned to normal except that when I exited the warp I was nowhere near anywhere, like I had been able to collapse the warp bubble during its flight. I looked around and there was nothing close by except for a planet and the next warp gate that was maybe 2 AU away.

This could be a rather convenient tool to use when evading trackers or war targets as the war target will fly right past you with a "AHHHH...how'd he do that." while you warp off in another direction. But it could also be considered an exploit because I have been able to manually defeat the warp mechanic somehow allowing me to circumvent the normal warping mechanic.

Sounds like you either ran out of capacitor sufficient for the warp, having hit a particularly long system, or your client desynced. I haven't experienced that myself in quite some time, thought they made it so the ship would still warp to the gate normally, perhaps not?

Yeah it must have desynced.

The desync left me in the middle of nowhere between jump points.

If a pilot could figure out how to actually control the desync to create the effect then would it be considered an exploit?

This a more a bug report(this is a new ideas thread) so this isn't really a good place for this and if you ever think something is possibly an exploit you NEVER post them in a public format like a thread. Always report them direcly to CCP via the ingame bug report system.

Unless you can reproduce this at least a couple times, I wouldn't even bug report it.

IIRC this happened to a friend of mine before and the desync is purely on your end, everyone else sees you arriving at your destination normally.

I'm not so certain about that. The last time it happened I arrived in the middle of the solar system with a full capacitor where the warp drive did not start up again.

I feel like posting my Social Security Number, Bank Account Routing Number, Bank Account and Debit Card Information here just to so show everyone how trusting I am.

IIRC this happened to a friend of mine before and the desync is purely on your end, everyone else sees you arriving at your destination normally.

I thought I had Trigger-dysfunction one time but it turned out all I had was a cold.

As mentioned above if you think you have found an exploit then please Bug Report and not post on the forums with it.
