All these numbers are great but what happen to the quarterly economic newsletter from Dr. Eyjo?

CCP never explained what happened. I think its time to do say something about it.

I understand that might be information in there that is sensitive like the subscriptions numbers, but the rest of it was pretty useful for the community, why not just take out the part you do not want to share and give us the rest instead of these random blogs with statistics left and right with prices indexes and ship number kills...

Yes they did - its going to be an annual dev blog now. No longer a quarter report - it was mentioned earlier this year.

Could we get the average number of lifetime PVP kills per player? What about the average number of kills per player in a recent single month like November 2011? If you could separate it by areas of the game (high, low, null, WH) it would be even better. Question

Don't worry everyone. Even though -A- has the most kills we are still a dead alliance.

I'm a big fan of yours but this list seems to be very bad math to me. First off when listing weapons all projectiles figure together and then for missiles heavies are separated out from everything else? How does that make sense ? Then you go on to specific type and 425mm ACs top the list regardless of ammo type and C Navy scourge a very specific ammo type comes in fifth? Are you trying to hide how Caldari ships are the most favored for PvP as well as PvE?

Then you use final blows to determine who is using what to kill who? Final blows may be an ego boost for some people but they do nothing for good math. There are a lot of ships involved in PvP that would get at least biased numbers based on that and some ship types totally excluded in many cases. Logistics and Dictors are two that come to mind but still you should have used everyone on the kill or at least everyone that did at least 5% damage or something like that.

I think that you could have done a much better job on this and that's coming from one of your fans.

So, when are you building that official CCP killboard with this data you have? It would solve a lot of issues people are having, you know.

That's not planned to my knowledge or my area. I'm just a guy who grabs numbers :)

If CCP will make an oficial killboard with similar search possibilities it'll be just too good to be true.
But we still hope

That makes a total of 21,099,795 ships/structures blown up belonging to 2,251,177 different owners. To be fair a lot of those are rookie ships and such, but either way – that’s a lot of explosions.

Thats nice. But how about statistics of crew loss, taking in accoutt minimal skeletal crew? Including POSes destruction.

That wouldnt answer how much ppl (NPCs, yes) we've killed in total, as i am sure PvP kills wouldnt be even 10% of all kills in EVE (and i doubt CCP have statistics about NPC-kills). But at least we will know how many our own crew members died since the capsulier age.

Shocked

High sec kills = most of them (% ????) grieff kills? (noobs corp, miners gank, missioners gank)

PVE kills = player ships killed by rats, not PVE fits killed by players.

And if you check the types, almost half of them are t1 frigs and destroyers, most likely newbies dying in level 1 missions.

Isn't there a tutorial mission that instapops your ship?

Indeed haven't even thought about those noobs Lol

That shouldn't count !! Lol

Due to the distances in space, most battles do not occur in real time. Therefor the already very slim crews of capsule lead spaceships have time to evac a ship before it can be destroyed.

There CCP, I did your roleplaying for you. I will accept a check in the mail as payment

In your original devblog, since Myrmidons didn't hit the top 20 in final-blows then we don't know how many final-blows they actually got over the inital time period. As a Gallente pilot, I'm curious. Can you look up their killing blows for the full 4 year time period? 12/5/07 to 11/29/11?

I know sometimes it's difficult to realize just how much you spend on incidental things each month or year, but seriously, EVE is very cheap entertainment compared to most things... If you are a smoker, smoke one less pack a week and pay for EVE, with money left over to pick up a cheap bundle of flowers for the EVE widow upstairs.

confirming that we're deadly.

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

No surprise about Syndicate awesome region to live, I thought Curse would have been closer though, I guess that region must have got a lot quieter nowadays, some of my favorite fights ever have been in curse -Doril will always have a soft spot in my heart.

Could we get a breakdown of capital ship losses per month for the last few years? Abathur published some in a blog a couple of years back and you could pick out specific wars very easily. I think it'd be an interesting barometer for the health of sov warfare

Fascinating stuff anyway
