Repair it, give the workers a generous tip and send the bill to him.

What is that monument anyway?

It's Hilmar's way of patting himself on the back.

But even though I think the monument is one of the most self congratulatory, arrogant, ego driven wastes of $ (especially considering not too long ago, CCP had big enough $ issues that they had to fire 1/3 of all their employees), the vandalism is still upsetting.

Maxim 6. If violence wasn’t your last resort, you failed to resort to enough of it.

I hope CCP take all of Gevlons ISK in plex value for the repair, that's bloody discusting.

If it is proven that it was him/her I agree.

They implicated themselves.

"Found your name and lost it again" is pretty ******* incriminating if you asked me. I hope CCP are considering charging them for property damage.

We're well aware of this, and are dealing with the situation as we speak.

Frankly, on a personal note, I find this absolutely disgusting and completely detrimental to the EVE Community's close knit spirit.

We'll have more information tomorrow afternoon/evening regarding this.

Really sorry that this has happened guys Sad

I find this thread laughable. I mean seriously I laughed out loud. People that spend all day on internet forums flaming others telling other people they ought to be ashamed of themselves for their behavior.

I am quite LITERALLY ******* laughing right now...

The monument needs an honour guard 24/7, I'll take the first watch, CCP transfer airline funds into my account.

Wait fan fest is not over some get drunk and play honour guard, or at least make a game like you have to guard the monument and march up and down but at the end of each march there is a bottle and a shot glass. You guard the thing till you puke or simply derelict your duty by not able to drink another shot and then some one else takes over to see how great your honour is in shots.

I have removed a rule breaking post and those quoting it.

The Rules:
4. Personal attacks are prohibited.

Commonly known as flaming, personal attacks are posts that are designed to personally berate or insult another forum user. Posts of this nature are not beneficial to the community spirit that CCP promote and as such they will not be tolerated.

Also as a personal note, regardless of who's name it is on that monument, you could always find reasons. Next could be me*) because some 'hate' me on the forums. Would that reasoning make it right? It's a real life statue in the public domain. It should not be molested for whatever reason.
Think about it, if this would be ok, where would the final line be drawn?

*) Or anyone else for that matter.

If it didn't pay for itself and then some with people resubbing to get their name on it then marketing needs a kick up the arse.

EVE is real. Deal with it, CCP and "disappointed" players. What you do ingame can and will have RL consequences. Blink

I wonder if Mitani's name is still intact... I would have expected his name to be erased of the EVE history first. Roll

And yes, this was a waste of my subscription money.
