Remove 8.0+ standings to install Jump Clones

Now that CCP has made it clear that grinding personal or corporate standings for a specific empire faction is no longer needed for setting up POS in 0.5, 0.6 and 0.7 systems I propose the following to CCP:

Remove personal or corporate 8.0+ standing at a station to install jump clones, let everybody not be burdened by this grindingCool

It should be CCPgames policy to not allow lore (the history of the game) to influence the open world pvp gameplay negatively for new players and current capsuleers that want it easier.

I don't think this is a good idea. There are already many ways to get your jump clones without grinding any standings. Use one of those methods.

if they made it more of a player corp service then definitely.

but i think i remember reading somewhere its intended as a tool for null sec, rather than empire. if thats wrong, or if things have changed, then dnt see why they cant make it part of player corps in empire as well.

Please tell me, what are the many ways to get your jump clones in hisec without grinding any standings in 0.5-1.0 systems ?

Even using someone else's his/her corporation to piggyback on that corporation's standing to install jump clones, takes:

A) Time, you need to leave your current corp, join the corp with standings and leave again in time.

B) Effort, you can be awoxed by your other temporary corp mates and the corp in question can be war-decked

PS: I love Estel Arador Corp Services for my pvp alts Cool

How about we just get rid of jumpclones entirely? and no more setting medical clones to other stations either..

Only if players who bothered to grind those standings are somehow reimbursed.

Any reimbursement by CCP is not feasible, what do you want to reimburse for your effort, time with plex or few skillpoints in Social ?

The game mechanic of the last 10 years gave players the opportunity to use jump clones in hisec, but now that CCP has entired a new course for the next decade of eve, they have to look towards giving new players and current players that don't like the grind in eve a less difficult gameplay.

well no, those standings would still be useful.

grinding for sec status was altered. didnt mean players that grinded their sec status were reimbursed.
grinding for POS standings is on its way out, no one will be reimbursed

I'd like to see the requirement for jump clone installation linked to "mini epic arcs" for each corp. Players would have to complete a series of 5-10 difficult missions and would get "clone rights" with that corp as a reward.

CCP will find it much more cost effective to delete the code for the grinding of faction standing, then to create even more new game features for just jump clones.

Players who aren't in empire don't even need 8.0 standings. Players with Rorquals or friends who have Rorquals don't need 8.0 standings either.

Why? It's a sandbox, so why try to force people play content they possibly have no interest in playing to gain access to one of the central clone related features in the game? I could see it, if it provided some meaningful advantage, but it's just a jump clone after all. On its own it doesn't boost your ability to achieve things in the game in any way. It's an empty shell for you to fit extra implants on, so I don't see much of a reason to create barriers for jump clone access. New players might not have much use for them at the start, but if there are no strong reason to limit access, such limits should be removed or at least mitigated to insignificance.

A Rorqual can not entire 0.5-1.0 systems no matter how good your friends are that fly them, and players who are in empire need 8.0+ standing with the station to install a Jump Clone Cool

Standings for [stuff] is a horrible mechanic but it seems sensible to replace that system rather than slowly erode it into irrelevance as we're seeing atm.

then what purpose would it serve? this is a bad idea, just another reason why not to do missions.

why do you need jump clones in empire......so you can go from Jita to Amarr in a flash?

idea is worthless like the idea to allow the ability to put a pos without standings.

But what is CCP's reason to drop faction standing requirement for POS setup in 0.5, 0.6 and 0.7 systems then ?

If not to make the gameplay for new players or current players who don't want to invest the time and effort for that Cool

The same CCP philosophy can easily be applied to installing Jump Clones in hisec.
