I notice kill mails in combat logs are producing only one person showing on the mail when the kill is a structure.
And it does not show the damage they did to it? is this one of the bugs that was addressed or is being addressed? I can't find anything about it

About that disappearing UI

This was done while mining on 3 accounts...

It started off with this happening to one account:
http://i850.photobucket.com/albums/ab66/Mindnut_eve/20111201150303.jpg

Later this happened to the other one:
http://i850.photobucket.com/albums/ab66/Mindnut_eve/20111201151133.jpg

The Floating roid names and the constant locking of roids even though I'm allready mining them is annother bug...
Besides all of this, like someone mentioned b4, I couldn't stack roids in my alts orca.

Soon UI's on all 3 accounts were bugged.
This happens every time I log on more then 1 toon. Not right away but within 10 min for sure.

So...

After experiencing the dissapearing ui joke I did the following

Cleared all settings and cache...didn't work
Rolled back my graphics drivers...didn't work
Updated my graphics drivers....didn't work
Removed Eve client and every bit of information relating to Eve and did a clean reinstall...didn't work

I've seen the kind of response times from bug reports (one submitted for this already) and am hoping that this gets dealt with with a greater sense of urgency. I've even getting it now when I've got one client open on full screen and minimise it for any particular reason.

[ 2011.12.01 10:42:48 ] (notify) You cannot place Minmatar Fuel Block in this fuel bay

It's a Minmatar Medium tower. What?

Tried the stront bay as well just in case... nope.

Is it a bug or is this going to be switched on nearer to fuel change-over time?

Same issue with my pos and a few other friends' poses, have not seen any dev defintion on if it's meant to be like this yet or not.

When configuring a Station Container I see the following "Require password for" option:

[no label: UI/Menusvc/ContainerPasswordForViewingLog]

Presumably this is just supposed to read "Viewing log."

Also, not a bug, but can the station container default be "unlocked" please?

Windows do not save their size and position when you close/minimize them... I actually petitioned this as I thought it was a bug...

Also dislike the way chat invites have now become pop-ups that interrupt what you're doing. Only useful for messing up what someone is doing in pvp combat or stopping them from being able to type proper sentences.

Aside from those two items the rest of the update is cool with me ;)

Worked for me, thanks very much! I had hoped that by now CCP would know how to code a patcher that doesn't **** itself and die when it finds ONE FILE missing, but I guess I was too optimistic.

Actuall they're doing it wrong as not every commodity has the same value ..
why should I pay the tax for a $500 TV when buying one that costs $200 just because they're in the less than $1000 dollar bracket?
Why is the tax on 100K of items at 2.2isk 100K when importing?

And the impact of all this ... see my other post above .. you can't double the cost of basic raw materials without doubling the impact down stream so this just doubles the cost of all T2 production.and by implication all T2 market prices..

First off, you obviously do not do the PI, what we're talking about is not one item. We are talking about a load of items, for example let's just say to make the math easy that one robotics cost 100 isk market price.

Then the tax on exporting one robotics at 17% tax would would cost 17 isk. If you exported 1,000 robotics the tax would then be 170isk if you exported 10,000 robotics the total taxes would be 1700isk and if you scale it up further to the taxes would go up in proportion to the amount being exported. The way that taxes were calculated didn't change CCP decided that the numbers they had set as the cost of the item had no relation to the actual market price. So they changed it to reflect actual market prices how hard is that to understand.

Your analogy makes no sense you are not paying $500 tax on a $200 TV you're actually paying $34 in tax if the tax was 17%

Now say you bought 1000 tv at $200 a piece that would cost you $200,000 before taxes, 17% tax on $200,000 is $34 000

Do you get the picture now, essentially you are paying duty on everything you import and export from the planet. Based on the market price of the item. Something similar happens in real life between countries. But I'm not exactly sure how the duty amount is calculated.

CCP is doing it wrong, you cant just set taxes on the average prize of the items of the markt. you have to choose a constant value, otherwise it will rise and rise and rise. The prices are rising now, what will happen with the taxes then? they will rise aswell, and quess what? right the prices will rise again after adjusting the new taxes to it.

Bucca Zerodyme You are just completely wrong as sales tax in real life perfectly fine. The sales tax in real life is a percentage of the price of what you buy. (I'm assuming that you didn't know that when you wouldn't have made the original post) While I agree that CCP seting it to 17% is sort of extreme, but you are high-sec. The entire game is based on risk versus reward. Very minimal risk very minimal reward.

UNNERF ISK MAKING
I just read a bit about drone regions. Earning ISK in EVE is still very and enough time consuming depending on your experience, skills and what corp/alliance you joined, where you live. The overall steep learning curve is one big risk for CCP not getting more players and losing players. ISK is essential. Sure, it should not to be too easy but the actual time investment to make a fair amount of ISK for eg. PvP is totally waste of RL time. It can't be the intention of CCP to mess up their player's RL. We need to face this very realistic: EVE is as most of the MMORPG's a very addictive game where it's hard to keep control over your gaming time depending on what you do ingame. You plan to log at 11PM and you end up in bed at 3:30AM again. It's a fine line, I know. If ISK earning is too easy we end up in a non-thrilling Arcade MMORPG. But to me the ISK case is a serious business. CCP should focus on it.

Overall: for such a big patch the deployment schedule and actual issues are a joke compared to former patches. Well done, CCP. Keep up good work. Get more ppl out from reality and you will make history in gaming.

fully agreed Smile

+1 from me.

I can only play a couple of hours a day at most and it is very hard to make a decent amount of ISK. On occasion I get lucky while exploring for NPC hideouts and salvage and loot a commander ship with nice goodies to sell, but I haven't seen a commander ship in weeks.. while exploring/probing is all I do. Mining is also slow and does not earn all that much versus the time it takes + that it is boring. Also doing missions makes just a little amount of LP's and ISK if you like to stay in high sec space, lvl3 and higher forces you to go to low sec systems thus risking your ship that you bought with the little money you have. I'm not interested in PVP thats why I stay in High sec systems, but high sec is really dull and boring *especially without incursions in high sec) and hard to earn some decent money.

EVE somewhat forces you to play like 6 hours a day if you like to have ISK's to spend on better ships etc.

I hate to say this to you but I believe you're playing the wrong videogame, the entire concept eve is based off of risk versus reward. In high security space there is very little risk. Therefore you should get very little reward. But just in case there was any doubt you can still make 25/hour maybe a little more spending on your skills doing level 4's in high sec. Refer to your agent finder to find an agent that you can use. Pick yourself up one mission running ship and one salvaging ship and you should be fine. If you wish to make more isk/hour do what the rest of us do move out of hi-sec the risk versus reward should not be changed. CCP will lose more players because PvE is boring. PvP on the other hand is excited.

Massive issues with SMAs, when attempting to fit mods there is MASSIVE DELAYS, on the order of minutes where your entire client locks up when you fit a mod to a ship. This gets progressively worse but a client cache reset fixes it temporarily but it starts to degrade again. My entire corp and others are reporting this.

Okay, this PI tax debate...

I'm in hisec. I want to export 160 Test Cultures, and it's going to cost me 144,000 ISK. That's 900 ISK per TC.

Best selling price in region for TCs is 350 ISK, and it's not like I'm in some diddly little backwater region...

What's the point...?

Bro I feel ya, my taxes went from being around 15k, to 880k...... thats kinda ridiculous. Idc what anyone says these new taxes are really messed up. I make my living off of PI and its how I pay for Eve if CCP doesnt fix this they'll be losing me. On another note, if im getting charged these ridiculous prices I guess I can just adjust my price of coolant from 8k to something ridiculous like 16k per unit and everything will be okay. So for all you POS owners if you wanna get cheap, affordable fuel again you better be screaming at CCP for gutting PI.

Now heres the logical argument.... Currently I can sell my coolant for somewhere around 8000isk per unit sometimes more, im rather nice and sell cheap fuel to the local POS owners in exchange for protection from pirates, a full time buyer, and fleet invites for roams or other corp activities.

So in one batch I make around 6000 units of coolant selling that for 8000 each is 48mil. However I'd have to export the mats of 2 characters each with 5 planets each. For simplicity lets assume export is 1mil(120k off actual price) thats 10mil+export 3 planets on my main thats 13mil to export mats that I own. Now throwing them back down to be converted into coolant will cost m 4mil. Thats 17mil, then i'd have to export the coolant off planet and thats probably 3mil easy. So 20mil lost in exports thats almost HALF of my profit. Now I'll only be making 28mil....

I went out of my way to do PI in 3 characters so I could increase my profits, to have such a large chunk of my profit taken in one patch seems a bit too much. CCP I love you and were real tight for putting dubstep in that new trailer... but I draw the line when you gut my main source of income like that, thats not cool homie.

I just thought I'd point this out loud here but you obviously live in low sec. Blow up the damn NPC custom office. Put down your own. Enjoy 0% tax, while charging everybody else up to 100% of the market price. Just in case you didn't already know this. Good luck with your PI.
