Getting loans from NPC's or players

So me and a friend were thinking, what if we could get an official loan from another player? It would kinda work like this; You dock up, and create a "loan contract". You can specify how much you wish to loan to somebody, the interest, payment rate (daily, weekly, hourly, etc), and the end date for which it must fully be paid off. Then you create contract and boom someone can click on it and accept it. Payments towards the loan would be automatic and would draw from your wallet. If the money is not there at the moment of withdrawel, you get a notification saying you must pay it off and can click _____ to pay it off. If you do not meet the payment deadline, you automatically become a criminal 24 hours after missed deadline. To not confuse everyone in local about your crime, you would receive a green flashing skull. You can then be killed in local by anyone. However, you can pay off the contract while in criminal status, and you will be relieved of said status. also while in "loan criminal" status, you cannot take out another loan too, and must first pay off the first one. Also, in contracts section, there would be certain parameters you could select to narrow down on what loans you want. You can also create a "want loan contract" that people can accept and loan money to you. Please tell me what you think!

I think my cyno and PI alts would take out multi billion ISK loans with no intention of every paying them off, nor any consequences at all for it, since they never go into highsec anyway.

They used to have these contracts and you would post items as collateral. However nobody used them and they were removed as far as I know. There is a subform somewhere in the forums that actually facilitates people seeking loans and investments. Depending on your credibility you could get a decent one or find a broker to do it for you.

if another player wants to give u a loan, let them. and if u fail to pay, let them hunt u down. no mechanics are required.

but what stops a player taking a massive loan, trading it to his alt, and then deleting his char?

Easy to abuse:
Step 1 - create an Alt
Step 2 - take out a loan
Step 3 - transfer ISK/assets
Step 4 - scrub alt/account.

Cloaking is the closest thing to a "Pause Game" button one can get while in space.

Support better localization for the Japanese Community.

Real banks don't give out multimillion dollar loans to complete strangers. Especially criminals.
