Someone applied to a corp. CEO checked out his awards and found this:

MedalShocked

With that kind of resume, good luck finding a corp. Ugh

Lol.

Its even funnier since the medal recipient can choose to hide his medals from public view, or delete them completely.

Let me introduce you to Psychotic Monk. Checkout his medals. Clicking on his corp history will literally lag your client. Then know that tonight he could be in a new corp if he wanted.

Background checks, doooo iiiittt Even just a little look at employment history already reveals many. Most scammers are lazy. Albeit the real tricky ones are hard to catch, but they also usually go after the bigger fishies.

You would be surprised. I have alts with several such "medals" who still get into corps with ridiculous ease.

Also, Psychotic Monk would like a word with you.

As per usual, you are missing the point. Awoxers medals are like notches on the bedpost. Why would they want to hide them?

Looking at the laat bit of the description, i'd say that's the point of not hiding it....

I could create a character named "IAM ACORPTHIEF" and provided I can fly a rorqual on my API, idiots would be lining up to recruit me.

I remember one of the well known Amarr scammers had in her bio something like 'if you don't read this and you lose your money, you deserve it.' Followed by a nice description of the scam.

Seems not many did from the rage I'd be reading in local. This is the reason I set up industry jobs in hubs. It takes a little longer but worth it for show in local.

It's a joint operation. Lazy scammers only work because recuiters are lazy in doing their background checks. Lazy here as in not putting much effort in it but honestly, why would you if scores of Joe Bob corporations line up in recruiting you & giving you admin acces.

It's a simple matter of effort versus reward, and currently little effort already yeilds good results. This is mainly because of recruitings just inviting people without checking & directors handing out roles too fast.

In a way, this 'lazyness' helps the corporations who do a good background check, as the corpthief/awoxer doesn't feel the need to step up his/her game (unless they're after a challenge or a far more juicy reward)
