What's the easiest way to find up to date info on EVE?

I'm Googling info on mining anomalies in high sec.

I doubt results from 2007 will be accurate, yet these sorts of results are common when Googling EVE topics.

I'm after 2013 and onwards info on the topic of mining anamolies in high sec, but I've noticed that on any EVE topics I tend to get ancient scribbles, which while historically interesting, are unlikely to have any contemporary accuracy.

Any tips?

Ask the more experienced members of your corp. Short of that, hit the sub forum that covers what you are interested in finding out.

I'm a one elf corp.

Which sub forum would you suggest that deals with finding the latest info on EVE?

Dev Blogs, maybe?

Found a method that at least cuts out posts from the early years.

It's a Google search method.

If you want a result to only be from a particular time period, then do the folloing search as an example...

eve online anomaly mining 2013..2014

The time period with two periods only returns results from 2013 and 2014.

Other examples...

2007..2009

2007..2013

And so on.

Well mining anoms now spawn and show up on your scanner list like combat sites, they don't need to be scanned down any more.

Not much more to it than that, unless you want to know what ores spawn where.

Wat.

OP - Try googling devblogs and forums with like, 'site:eveonline.com somethingshere', or asking in a relevant subforum/the eve reddit etc. There's also help channels in game.

This is the correct answer ^

Edit: Also - there are a LOT of niche websites run by players that cater to very specific interests. It's very likely somebody out there is maintaining a site will all the up-to-date guides and data you could ever want. ...you just have to find them. The forums and experienced players are your friend here.

It would be nice if some enterprising EVE persona(s) would undertake a massive update of EvE wiki and Evelopedia....

We are mortal enemies, but that was EXACTLY the response I was going to post

Id like it more than +1 if I could

best way to get updated information is to check things yourself, some things are easiest to test out in test server.

Well, if you post something like I got ganked a mining anom looking for xyz and make it sound stupid, people will generally supply a lot of info while flaming you. You probably googling wrong words. ANswers will look like, everybody knows blah blah blah you blah blah blah. If you post an intelligent post or question, that doesn't work to well.

Yes. It would. However, you may have noticed...many moons ago:

There was at one time a very enthusiastic, talented and intelligent player base. With an almost child like vigor data, "apps", wikis...a plethora of accompanying information was generated with some high quality craftsmanship.

A lot of these people, unhappy with the direction the game took (heartfelt thanks CCP) left the game to the hooting choruses of the unwashed minions shouting, "Can I haz your stuff?" (UMADBRO? Why you butthurt?) There are those who remain with whom this rings a LOUD bell.

Now, EVE is infested with lazy, no account miner-ganking ego-riding dullards who always want someone else to do something for them, while they do nothing for anyone else, but have plenty to do TO everyone else while proclaiming, "THIS is EVE!"

Enjoy.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.
