TL;DR:
CCP thought that, by just writing a simple 0 in the new expansion, won't do the trick ! It's way too common, it's old style, outdated. They needed something new, outrageous ! They thought that, by adding a diagonal line to a normal zero, it's a great idea. For example, an item that was 1000 isk before the expansion, now only costs 1 isk, followed by 6 half zeros !
As we know, the only accepted digits for an order are: 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9. There are no half zeros or zeros cut by an oblique/horizontal/vertical line, which makes my initial statement true: Everything is cheaper now

Hey,
I have to admit that, after the expansion, in the first 30 minutes spent in game, I was kinda frustrated about the new UGLY font, but then I realised i could have some fun about it, so here we are :))

Of course, you're asking yourself: what the hell does it have to do your feelings and/or frustrations with the fact that everything got cheaper in eve. Well, it's simple: there are no more zeros now ! For example, an item that was 1000 isk before the expansion, now only costs 1 isk, followed by 6 half zeros !
What the hell is a half zero ?!? It's simple: CCP thought that, by just writing a simple 0 in the new expansion, won't do the trick ! It's way too common, it's old style, outdated. However, I don't understand why they haven't chosen, for example, to draw an horizontal or a vertical line to those zeros if they wanted to be fancy, or even better: draw an oblique, an horizontal and a vertical line, all inside the same zero ! Don't tell me that ain't fancy ! And just to show you how brain damaged I am, think about this: They could do a Matryoshka-doll-style-zero ! If you're asking yourself "wtf is a Matryoshka-doll-style-zero, i have to admit: that's a legit question. Wikipedia is our best friend, explaining what a Matryoshka doll is:


So, after reading that definition, here's what a Matryoshka-doll-style-zero would be: instead of wasting space writing lots of zeros, they could just compress the space and, for example, instead writing 1.000.000, they could just write 1 followed by a single zero, with another 5 smaller zeroes inside it , each of them constantly decreasing in size !!! That would be fancy, bro ! Anyway, the idea is: everything got cheaper in EVE since every order that had a zero inside, doesn't have it anymore.
