Everything is dirt cheap but thats not only thing that is OP... definitely being able to read is OP, EVE is too easy now.. the learning curve is gone. EVE is dieing!!

What is it with all these font complaints?

First someone complaining about the Q being wrong when if you compare it with times new roman which is the accepted publishing standard font shows the Q to be how they've implemented it, and now people are complaining that the zero has a line through it, if you bother to check a zero with a line through it is a globaly accepted way of diferentiating between the letter O and the number 0.

Either schools aren't teaching spelling properly nowdays or there's alot of trolls who couldn't find anything wrong to troll about so they just chose to whine about something silly.

You have to accept her definition of the striked out zero, which is assumed in her argument. The problem isn't in her logic, it is in the factual basis of her premises. Oops

By the way, since we're already talking, do you want to buy a rifter? I've got the cheapest rifters in Metropolis. If you can find a cheaper rifter, buy it!

1. You can't point out the actual flow because it either does not exist or it's hidden and requires "Advangel Logic & Argumentation" trained to V Roll

2.The logic doesn't have any mathematical contradiction and I can prove it: If you cut a zero with a diagonal line, you obtain another symbol that LOOKS like a zero, but it's NOT a zero. If you make a confusion between "a zero cut with a diagonal line" and the mathematical symbol "0" it's like mistaking the symbol "$" with the letter "S" by not noticing the dollar is cut by two vertical lines, therefore they are two different symbols.
Also said i'm gonna prove that: Demonstration is simple:
a) OpenEVE and try to sell an item for 1 followed by three zeros.You will end up selling the item for 1000 isk, because after "1" you have used the mathematical symbol "0"
b) Open EVE and try to sell an item for 1 followed by three any other symbols. You will end up selling the item for 1 isk, because after "1" you have used symbols that are not accepted by eve client.. For example, try to type 1øøø ( looks like 0, but it's not, cuz its cut by a diagonal line )
Since zero cut by a diagonal line is NOT a mathematical symbol, but rather an ascii symbol ( similar to this one ø ), it means that whatever you type after "1", won't be accepted by eve, which means everything will be cheaper :)) Q.E.D ( quod erat demonstrandum )

That's 100% correct. Finally someone that noticed that not the logic is the problem, but the initial premises, which are OBVIOUSLY FALSE :)
The error is called "sophism of division", which occurs "when we infer the same thing concerning ideas in a divided sense, which is only true in a compounded one"
If you cut a zero with a diagonal line, it WON'T turn into two smaller zeros and the result WON'T have the same attributes as the initial one. That's the logical error that neither regular players, nor the devs were able to identify :)


Anyway, it was fun to observe peeps seeking for errors in my argumentation or blaming the drugs. The intention was never to test your logic skills or to blame CCP, but to have fun :) Keep it going ! Blink

If it is stripped off completely then, the new numeral system is now base 9, which imply that 1 in that system now means 0, 2 mean 1..etc

So, the base change but the numbers were not converted. We don't have to wait for a font change : one can state that the new base of the numbers is 8, therefore everything that contains any other digit than 0 to 7 is now cheaper.

It 0 symbol was replaced, then :

a) you cannot input three zeros, it was stated that 0 were replaced. So you will end up selling the item for 1<<< isk, because after the "1" you have used the new mathematical symbol "<".

b) it's not "any other symbol", it's one particular symbol that have an unknown value.
In a given number system, if the base is an integer, the number of digits required is always equal to the absolute value of the base. 0 was replaced and we keep the base 10 ? therefore there's still 10 digits and the new symbol can be inbetween any of the other digits which change the value of every digit (not only 0) If 1 now equal the 9 and "that new symbol" equal say 8, 1000 is now 9888 isks.


There's logical errors and there's no philosopher mecanisms. But there's still some drugs.
