Hey S&I gurus,

Could someone suggest some useful caluclators they use for T2 invention and manufacture. I know there are a few out there but would be interested to hear which ones everyone rates.

Cheers,
OI

Since you weren't specific about what you're looking for, I'll just drop this here:

Apologies. What I should of perhaps said was what calculators do people use to work out:

1. The probability of T2 invention success, effects of skill level and use of decryptors/base items etc.

2. Whether manufacturing from a T2 BPC will be profitable or not.

I'll endorse this and add Eve IPH. I use both for different things.

I make my own spreadsheets, and do my own market research.

In my experience, common sense (which is apparently rather uncommon) is the best way to decide what to build. Example: think about usage amounts and replacement rates, then do market research to confirm.

Don't build anything until you know you can sell it at a profit, keeping in mind that the market will change in the time it will take you to manufacture.

Things often overlooked:
* Time to sell a given number of units.
* Market trade volume.
* Market competition.
* Order sizes.
* Order durations near max = very active market, probably with a lot of 0.01 changes.
* Leaps in prices rather than a predictable progression is another indicator.
* Gap between buy and sell orders, as well as the rate at which it fluctuates.
* etc.

I recently put several billion ISK of items on the market. Very few were listed at below the lowest sell order price; most were a bit above based on neighbouring orders. All of the items sold in a reasonable amount of time (my measure: <3 days).

Some of my favourites items to make (profitable and high turnover) are not recommended by any third-party tool.

i kinda like http://bp.kiwi.frubar.net/ for quick lookups and IPH for a deeper research.

keep one thing in mind for each and every item out there: jita is not always the best place to sell

+1
Both are excellent tools.

the best is fuzzworks tick the box deduce invention costs from manufacturing and select decryptor etc. Then see above that in a box it will show your isk/hr at station and at pos.

For quick look ups on whats best to get to optimal ME/PE levels i like to use http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online/item.php?type_id=785 as an example.

Would love to see that implented on fuzzs site too

'Optimal' is an interesting topic. Hard to define.

Why not make something called suggested. And have it return the research value when a certain % of the materials or isk is saved? At least then it is clearly defined what the optimal value actually gives.
