This isn't the sort of question we can answer. The dates we have heard have bounced around just like the ones that were made public. You will have to get a CCP dev to give you any sort of firm answer. We did see the other CQs at the emergency summit, and they looked pretty close to done (and a lot better than the Minnie one)

@ CSM MEMBERS:

I just finished reading the minute notes. I hope they accurately reflect the meeting. I have a very simple question I am hoping you can assist me with.

CCP has said that ship spinning will be returning at some point in the future. Those words are not only frightening but vague.

Is there any work being done on this front at the moment? Is it a serious priority for CCP to get this feature out? Theoretically - When can we possibly (just an idea - there can be no guarantee's) expect to see it? Would CCP be willing to "tease" it so to speak? I don't care if it's a wire frame but I'd like to see some proof that it is being worked on if possible.

Don't pray for my soul. ;)

@ CSM.

Glad to see the minutes finally released... even if they do read like a rehash of the dev blog/heavily edited.. surprise surprise.. :(

First off:

1. Why is the pricing section seemingly glossed over a lot of the player base did have very large concerns with the pricing model and yet if the minutes are to be believed you basically where only majorly concerned because things fell 100 AUR above or below the 1 plex mark (my interpritation i admit that). When a lot of ppl where more concerned with the fact that 'Micro' should mean micro ie 1 - 5$ rather then macro 15 - 100$.

2. Why haven't you been vocally pushing for dev blogs etc as CCP promised you and us they would do more of?

3. Why have you stayed silent for 3 months and the majority of you basically ignored players until recently again? (apparently July doesn't exist to a lot of you.. nor the majority of August).

4. Why is it that rather then posting up things your taking to CCP before hand and letting the players know 'hey guys we are planning on talking to CCP about the following, just so you know that we are, and we may NOT be able to say anything later due to the NDA' you instead just go ahead talk about crap and then refuse to tell us what you even brought up and claim the NDA covers it all?

5. Are we going to see more broad talk about fixing ALL of eve rather then just 'Null Sec' ie: Faction Warfare, Making Mining less mind boringly numb, mixing up missions, fixing up cosmos etc. Or is the majority of what we expect to see from you in your dev (Damned you guys became Dev's Doh) ahh.. i mean CSM blogs going to be the same (lack) stuff 'We like ccp, we think ccp is being bad, we love ccp again'?

I know that some of this comes across as anti CSM and I know some ppl think I suck etc.. But at the same point I did vote and while some may think me nieve etc I do think that the CSM can be a lot MORE then it currently is, if it learns to communicate and if it learns to have it's members act like Adults rather then flamming every one who gets pissed at them.

  1. Is Mittens acting on his own in his crusade against CCP or does everybody in the CSM agree.
  2. Do you feel the CSM is obsolete? I know you guys have put in a lot of work and I appreciate it, but how do yoiu guys feel about it?
  3. Why is there so little communication with the community from CCP? I'd rather have a heated discussion with some CCP employees than the total silence we have now. I can't shake the feeling that nobody is allowed to talk about it. (Which is very bad ofc)

As other CSM have stated-Mittens is MOST DEFINITELY NOT ALONE, even I agree with what the CSM is doing and many of our public statements/Mittens public statements are worked on by the bopdy of the CSM. Don't tell anyone I said it SHHHHHH but Mittens doing a 'stellar' job as chairman.

The CSM is far from obsolete, in fact the 6th CSM has been (from what I have seen/been told) the most influential yet.

CCP would do well to communicate more with the players, true. And NOT by angry devblogs in the wake of crisis Pirate

We recently had meeting with Zulu. Unfortunately I can't discuss for NDA reasons, virtually anything that was said. I am free to say that I think good things are happening.D3

#1 We did our best about Nex items and pricing. You can't fix stupid.
#2 We are, we do, and we want more from CCP on this.
#3 We haven't.Check out the variuos forums, interviews, chats blogs and whatnot-on an individual level, CSM have been vocal. Admittedly there could have been more, but the minutes issue was pretty big and we decided as a group not to sabre rattle prematurely. Even I went along with the decision-despite personally disagreeing with the rest of CSM.
#4 Some topics or generalizations were discussed before hand, many individual CSM's have stated their goals and proposals both pre-election during and after.
#5 YES!!!!!

I hope you are correct. If everything that was claimed to be in the winter expansion is in it, I may reconsider subbing, once the patch hits.

However, I hope that after this meeting is done with, and the minutes are released/devblogs are released post-haste, that we will get more than

"CCP acknowledges that its capsuleers love the FiS aspect of Eve, and we are commited to continuing the development of it in the future"

However I highly doubt we will receive anything more than a "Soon ™" statement."

Good luck CSM, though I find it hard to see how you can convince CCP of something that people that work for their company will claim to know much more about.

I would like to take up just a bit of space and time here to put forth my thoughts as I have finished reading these pages.

CSM & CCP -- Thank you all for the time, effort and the consideration of the player feelings and thoughts.

I think there is a group of us mostly silient players who do want this MMO to be the greatest and toughest to learn and play on this planet called earth.

CCP's sand box is EVE Online.  The sand is owned by CCP.  We pay them a monthly fee to throw the sand at each other.  That is all that is here, so move along. Nothing more to be seen.

Uh, you guys aren't getting minutes of this one. In general, minutes are only from summits, and this was a conference call. Any changes that may result from this sort of meeting would be revealed in a DevBlog or CSM spotlight or something.

Did ccp scrap the idear of treaties because they thought would lead to more non aggression pacts or is it still on the table?

They didn't as far as I was last told. It didn't get in due to a combination of incomplete design and lack of resources/time to implement/design it

The feature was design complete at the time and ready to go forward into programming however it was shelved due to the resources (people / time) being needed on P.I.

CCP needs a Reality Check.

But did they throw away the code or what? Is there a significant obstacle to it's introduction now that they've done the majority of the work on it? It seems shockingly wasteful to simply ditch a nearly-complete feature. At a time when I presume they're desperately trying to include as much FiS content as possible in the Winter expansion, reviving Treaties would seem like an easy win. Especially now that the player base has shown our willingness to accept phased expansions.

Are there any other missing features you know of that have similar histories? Reviving a few like this could be an extremely cost effective way for CCP to get some goodwill and really improve the game.

Whats happening with removing local as a intel tool in 0.0?
Have ccp shown you anything with regard to improving directional scanning that you are happy with?

No such change has been announced yet, we're going to have talks with CCP about it when it's on the radar (or we're having them if they're already on the radar, but I wouldn't be able to say if that was the case).
