Bring it back, please. Not only does it look cool, but it's extremely helpful when it covers a "live" event. :)

World News events, such as the current: http://community.eveonline.com/news/news-channels/world-news/ishukone-meets-with-gallente-senate-on-caldari-prime/, used to be announced through social media as much as general EVE news.

I recall there was a huge build-up in the weeks prior to the battle for Caldari Prime last year through several social media outlets. Unfortunately that was the last time they utilized those mediums.

A build that you couldnt support with ingame mechanic(people waiting on the other side of the game, system was caped) also we didn't had an event for some time(that Rubicon thing wasnt even a live event), and releasing the titan fotage before it happen(intended or not).

Like it's a problem keeping eye on the World News section.

The social media pushes were for actual events, not just for news articles that we publish, to raise awareness that there was something actually going on in game Smile

Understood, but why not push the fictional elements? So many players are getting introduced to the lore thanks to the recent Source. Why not show them that the lore evolves continuously, even if we don't necessarily see it real-time (all the time) in-game. :)

I would suppose CCP is being very careful with story progression since the Battle for Caldari Prime was criticized for having a pre-determined outcome. But there seems to be something going on since the world news blogs are implying that something is going on.

And not to mention that the current story arcs are most likely predetermined by the creative directors. This should be contrast for players. There are things within your hands and without. :)
