the great collusion ( expanding the map )

had this idea rolling around for a long time , the current eve map sort of looks like a normal galaxy flatt-ish. but i was thinking that there was some large game shattering event that would lead to it looking more like a ball.( eve galaxy collides with another galaxy ? ) (the new galaxy has another race ? ) they have different looking gates?) new sky boxes ??)

this event would add 2/3 more high sec systems and another 2.5 times more low sec systems., + loots more null sec. i might have the number s wrong ... but this new expansion would have gates for the high sec parts but... less and less for the low/ null sec... in those the players would build them. i sort of had the image in my head of some corp who controls the sov... they build all the gates right at the sun... like 5 gates all withing 50km of each other... sort of like a new player built low sec Jita.

why do you never see gates close to a star?What?

i know im adding allot, i think ccp would need to build ...like ANOTHER FULL SERVER group. X_X but again im just running with a idea.

just imagine in stead of flying out to low sec...you fly " up " to low sec... that map sure would be interesting to look at.
"oculus rift map program any one "?

i know this would ..take like 10 years to add to eve. but it sure would bring a new MASSIVE land rush to eve.
o and here is another thought... what if not all null sec could be player controlled?

there is more than enough resources in high sec despite its population density. there is no noteworthy competition for resources.
low sec and null is mostly barren of players.

EVE really does not need to be made bigger.

also, there are segments of null sec that are NPC controlled and cannot be taken by players.

EVE FAQ "7.2 CAN I AVOID PVP COMPLETELY? No; there are no systems or locations in New Eden where PvP may be completely avoided"

was thinking of the word for like two liquids joining together. ( two galaxies join together )

well i was not really thinking of resources more of just another new frontier like when W-SPACE was added


i guess i forgot about the null sec space that's controlled by npc'sWhat?

and i know they are doing allot more with more player structures and deployables.

any new space will be exciting and new for all of 5 minutes, just like WH's. CCP cannot keep creating un explored areas, for the sake of exploration forever.

if the new space adds a completely new dynamic of environmental rules, something that makes it different to the rest of space, then u may have something. When they made WH's, they didnt just add more systems. WH space behaves entirely different to the rest of space.

but is this "new and amazing" system worth living and operating in? and would it be worth the development time that could instead be aimed at fixing the issues we currently have with existing space?

though to eb fair, SOV will never be fixed, TiDi will always be hell, because FIXING n+1 is against CCP's marketing, making it ahrder to hold large amounts of SOV in any way that would ACTUALLY let new blood into null wihtout being renters, would also promote smaller fleet fights, which arent as advertisable as "ermahgerd 4500 players sitting in a system for 18 hours look at out 1337 fights". reason im saying this is because adding NEW space, especially space that is in any way FUN or PROFITABLE to be in, would be entirely against CCP's marketing strategy aswell.
