"CCP ExeFile has stopped working" -- Everytime I try to start the client, freezes right before login screen finishes loading, after the splash screen. Then I get the popup and the game crashes.

Trails

Still don't work. Tried turning off, turning on, nothing.

Logging in station in T3 cruiser breaks it on login

It asks me to reassemble the ship like I just activated it, pick the subsystems, etc, the only way to fix it is to not log in a station in a T3 or to log in a non-T3 ship. Relog is required once changed to another ship or the ship view in station never works, even when doing a session change like undocking and docking and will not show any ships regardless if T3 or not.

PC Client, debating if I need to clear my Eve install and do it fresh.

@CCP

Another Bugs äh Features i have found:

  • comparing items cause all other windows hiding and no access to them in any use case.
  • pinning windows isn't saved, so open ship and item windows, stack them and pin, close both, open one of them and see window isn't pinned.
  • pinned windows can be moved.

That's it for now.

Has anyone else found that scan probes are no longer locking in and scanning signatures effectively? Living in w-space and after 30 minutes of trying to lock down one signature I'm beyond answers. By now I would have had everything scanned down and located.

Patch installed right after repair tool finished operation.

Issues so far:

- pinned windows can be moved; (info tag says "change window style", is this a change to design or a bug?);
- no engine trails, even at high settings;
- stacked windows move out of place after: bought something in the market, changed ship;
- ship models seem faded, almost no glow on them;

Something may be awry with scanning / probing. Haven't quite pinned down the problem, but I'm having great difficulty probing down a signature with a highly skilled char in a CovOps with Sisters Probes.

My observation is that I can get the signature with 8AU range probes, but not a smaller range. And when I apply more than 1 probe to the signature, it disappears even when the original red sphere is covered with the probe spheres.

I have never seen this type of behavior in the past two + years of probing down stuff. And I checked through the patch notes and did not find anything other than the new tech 2 probe launcher regarding scanning changes.

Also, the scanning countdown timer sits at 6.0 seconds and does not actually count down when a scan is initiated.

Disclaimer: I haven't read the previous pages if others have posted the same thing.

What has changed, CCP?[\s]

Yep, seeing the same thing in null-sec. I can't even imagine what W-space occupants are doing right now.

Need to import some ice products to your POSes? Ruh Roh.

[s]I'd petition the hell out of this problem.

Yep, trying to scan entrance to get fuel in. Petitioned but I'm not expecting anything soon as I'm sure they're overwhelmed.

My probes have already expired and not a single signature to show for it.

Also, all IDs are ending with the same # which has never been the case.

1, with PI, _ -edited-

2. someone mentioned the disapearing windows trick.. happened to a few in our alliance.. its kind of like they are there but not attainable. toggling graphics to low and back up seemed to help some.

3. several pc's through out this alliance..patch fail. some were able to repair. some not. how about 1 single patch. that works.

4. 1 outa 4 like the font.. we can do all sort of wonders to it, cept change it from the bubblegum version it is. rly..in this day n age. this is more personal tbh though)

5. LP store not seeing items (dogtags) in hanger , but putting em in your cargo and back didnt do anything.

6. you actually made the dramial ..a shuttle. 0/ goodbye to the last of the interceptors....

7. WH.. some of us can scan..some cant. but we could all do it yesterday!!
also the item ID tags are..wierd.

Omg guys.. how many rants on something write down on the patch notes.. l2r..

Quote:

Cosmic signatures may now be filtered according to type. This allows players doing exploration to easily sort Ladar, Gravimetric, Magnetometric, Radar and Unknown cosmic signatures in their system scanner results. Signatures which are still too weak to register their type will not be excluded from this filter regardless of their actual type.

Adjust your filters...

I too have windows that seem to refuse to minimise sometimes to close at all.

Overall though like font and crucible as a whole the patch repair tool worked well for me.Cool

Interesting. Starmap loads in 1-3 seconds for me on core 2 duo and nvidia 8800GT hardware. It's actually loading 2x-3x faster than before the patch. So it's not happening to everyone. Might want to post your video/cpu specs if this is an issue so they can isolate the probelm.

Regards

A serious bug:

Loading of starmap now takes forever (or at least 20 seconds).

Please fix it, so it loads as fast as pre-patch!

Load is indeed faster for me too, but the tactical overlay is not showing on the star map.. Sad

It's the probing filters. This patch divided type "cosmic sig" to ladar, radar, grav, mag and wormhole. You are using an old filter that only has cosmic sig so you see the signature until you get a hit stronger than 25%. After getting 25%, the sig disappears (as it should).

Easy fix: add the new types to your probing filters

Quick and dirty fix: probe using the built-in filter "show all".

Patch failed. Repair tool found over 1GB missing. After spending 2 hours to DL the missing file, repair tool fails and reports error: WindowsError: [Error 5] Access is denied: 'C:\\Program Files\\CCP\\EVE\\bin\\ExeFile.exe'

Three attempts with the repair tool (2+ hours each attempt) all failed with the same error.

How do I fix this?
Do I need to uninstall and DL the whole client? I would like to avoid that since my estimated DL time is 10+ hours.

Running Windows Vista SP2.
